Summary
At eighteen Obi-Wan's life was going pretty well. Sure he had a massive crush on his master who refuses to see him as anything more than "his young padawan" but for the most part things are good and they have a balance.
Until, because he can not just catch a break, things are very not ok. His entire world is up on its head and balance is light systems away.
This is a Ep 1 fix it set two years before. Shit is about to hit the fan and shake what it means to be a Jedi and a Sith.

Summary
Scott remembers what it felt like to have Kip ripped out of his hands by fear and silence and a world that insisted love like his had to be hidden. Remembers the hollow space it left behind, the way he couldn’t breathe around the pain, and he wouldn’t wish that kind of loss on anyone.
Not even on Rozanov.
And somehow, for the first time, Rozanov doesn’t look like an asshole at all. Just a man holding the person he loves like the world might try to pry him away.
Or: After a brutal playoff press conference, Scott follows Shane into the hallway and accidentally witnesses something he was never meant to see.
It changes the way he understands both Hollander and Rozanov.

Shane tuts as he stares at the television screen. It's a live broadcast and the questions have been dragging on way too long. “Come on,” Shane murmurs. They need to wrap it up soon; Ilya looks exhausted and he's favouring his right side.
Another interviewer snaps her hand up. “Rozanov! What do you say to the rumours that you are seeing Yuna Hollander romantically?”
Ilya blinks. Shane stops breathing. Then Ilya's face splits into an enormous, toothy grin. A smile of vicious, mischievous amusement.
“No,” whispers Shane, coming forwards off the couch to kneel before the television. “No, no, no.”

“I don't understand. Why can't Shane come with me instead?” Hayden asked, looking at his wife.
Jackie sighed. “I already told you. He said he has a meeting for a partnership with that gross sports drink.”
“Body Armor?” Hayden shook his head, stopping himself before he got distracted. “Okay, so Shane's busy. Why can't I take the girls by myself then?”
“Because, Hayden.” Jackie sounded exasperated, which wasn't any fun at all. “It's a big place. I'd rather have two adults keeping track than just one. And Ilya's good at paying attention, he knows what people are going to do before they do.”
