Summary
Jesper’s first impression was of high ceilings and opulence, the type of room where pocketing just one of the statues would give him a full week’s worth of stakes at Three Man Bramble.
His second impression was that Mrs van Eck’s assistant [author's note: meet Wylan!] was a little red headed darling with enormous eyes, flushed cheeks, and a mouth he wanted tasting every inch of his body.

Summary
“Looks like I was right and it’s just rooms to let for horny folk, Boss.” Jesper waggled his eyebrows at Kaz.
“But you couldn’t charm the bartender or any of the marks you were supposed to target, or you’d be in less of a snit with Wylan,” Kaz said. “And, speaking of my demo man, where is he? I need another round of smoke bombs for the docks tomorrow, and all he was supposed to do was investigate the cleaning fluids Hoede’s staff use.”
Jesper let himself fall backwards into the chair Kaz kept opposite his desk. It was hard and uncomfortable, clearly designed to encourage anyone who sat down to voluntarily evict themselves as soon as possible. He slung one leg over an armrest and tipped his hat over his eyes.
“Stupid kid couldn’t run a con if he tried,” Jesper muttered, enough under his breath that Inej ignored him.
“Jes may have had no luck with the marks, but Wylan asked the bartender where the bathrooms were and ended up with two free drinks and a job offer.”
“Did he take the job?” There was something up with Kaz’s voice. It was the same low scratch Jesper heard every day, but the rasp had a bit more urgency to it.

Summary
Wylan regrets overhearing his father tell Prior and Miggson their assignment. He regrets fleeing the house that night without his flute, or his good coat, or any of his mother's belongings. He regrets heading to the Barrel and he never should have let one awful night in the cold convince him that entering the Crow Club was a good idea. He regrets his weakness, his idiocy, all the things that led him to stand in front of Kaz Brekker and, more than anything else, he regrets asking for Brekker's protection.
Because Brekker has him holed up in a tiny apartment with a beautiful man who hates him, and Wylan doesn't know how to cope with any of it.

Summary
Jesper grinned, letting his hand drop from the geldings neck. He rested his arm on the handle of his revolver, not missing the way Wylan tracked the movement with hungry eyes.
"I don't know 'bout that," he drawled, forcing Wylan's eyes too look back up at him, "why not save the horse and ride the cowboy instead?" He gestured at himself helpfully.
Wylan's eyes went dark, pushing off from where he was leaning against the stable door. "You're ridiculous," he muttered, grabbing hold of the lapels of Jesper’s chequered shirt.
He grinned, devilish, sharp, utterly delighted by the turn of events, before he found himself being manhandled onto an overturned feed trough.
Well. Fuck.
OR
Jesper's untimely robbery of some random house lands him with *far* more then expected.
The problem? Well there isn't one, not until he gets driven out of the town by angry debt collectors and the same person he tried to rob and instead ended up fucking is forced to go with him.
Now they have to meander their way through the Wild West, dodging bullets and old enemies and their inevitable feelings.
