“Ouch, I’m hurt,” Kaeya feigns pain as he clutches his chest. “I knew you two were fairly close, but hearing it from him hurts my soul.”
Diluc feels irritation flare up inside of him as he puts the dish he was washing behind the bar counter down to snatch the letter back from Kaeya. “Are you serious? Thoma contacted us after nearly 15 years and that’s what you’re focused on?” Diluc knows Kaeya well, and he knows that, in reality, Kaeya couldn’t care less about how close Thoma was with him versus Kaeya.
Kaeya laughs, “In all honesty, I find the letter more humorous than anything. I mean, he doesn’t even know that Crepus is dead! Besides, it’s kind of funny that even after, what was it… fifteen years you two are in denial. I could excuse you two back then, two little boys that hardly knew what crushes even were, but Diluc, you’re pushing 30!”

“...No.” Kaveh says, albeit hesitantly.
“Then don’t be foolish. Don’t be foolish thinking that you’re a leech and don’t be foolish thinking that your work cannot be managed. Although, I do think your work would be ‘easier to manage’ if you actually listened to me whenever I tell you to take breaks and space yourself. I’m not always right, but I’m typically right about you.”

Albedo didn’t worry often whenever he left for Dragonspine. He knew that the Knights of Favonius – specifically Kaeya – would take care of Klee. There has never been any reason for him to doubt their ability to care for her.
This trust is the exact reason why Kaeya almost shit himself upon entering the kitchen. Klee had wanted a snack, so they were in the kitchen. Kaeya forgot something in his room, so he left Klee for no more than two minutes. Klee apparently wanted red hair, so she spilled red wine on her head, of course.
