Summary
Light Yagami masked himself to be a perfect model of various archetypes. The perfect student, the perfect son, the perfect friend, the perfect boyfriend. It was as though he refused to let a single flaw slip through him, as though being human was something wrong to be, replacing chances for mistakes with satisfactory yet saccharine ‘outcomes.’
The moment L enters Light Yagami’s world in person, Light conjures up the perfect plan: to pretend flirt with L and romance him into giving up his real name. L sees right through him, but pretends to go along with Light’s advances in hopes of eventually unmasking him to be Kira.
They form a fake relationship, and it becomes a delicate game to see who makes the mistake of slipping first. But when Light loses his memories while in confinement, the line quickly blurs between what’s real and what’s not.

Summary
Light’s desk catches on fire during the placement of L’s illegal surveillance cameras in the Yagami household, burning up the Death Note early on. Light forgets everything, the killings suddenly stop, and Kira fades away from the public consciousness but never from L’s. Six years later, Ryuk returns to Earth with a new Death Note for Light, now an agent in INTERPOL, ready for Round 2. L’s ready too.

Catch Perfect
The very first long Lawlight fic I’ve read and definitely worth it, was rewatching deathnote between gaps in reading this over the past few days with a friend and this had me somewhat confusing fanon with canon because I’ve been thinking about it so often - I’d definitely love to reread at some point. Freaky and so sweet, and as much as I really hate Lawlight in canon, fics like these make me enjoy these two geeks .*+ -

“So, anything crazy happen while I was away?”
Light is horribly confused. He shakes his head, and his voice comes out slurred. “Why would anything crazy happen?”
“My name’s Ryuzaki,” the man says, ignoring his question. “Yours?”
“Light Yagami,” he replies, and sets his newly filled cup of jungle juice down. He decides then and there that this man will be who he spends time with tonight in order to look normal, and then scrunches his eyebrows together because he actually remembers deciding that a few minutes ago. “This is the first time in my whole life that I have ever drank alcohol,” he tells Ryuzaki, and once the words leave his mouth, he realizes that they sound like the stupidest words that have ever been uttered in the history of words.
Or, Light Yagami realizes that a smart enough person could potentially see through his fake persona at the same time that he realizes that normal college students go to parties on occasion. There is only so much that one can do to pretend to be normal besides actually doing what normal people do. He discovers that it's quite difficult to act properly when you're drunk, and that maybe Ryuzaki isn’t who he says he is.

Summary
A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.
The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.
Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

Astronomy In Reverse
A roller coaster, the horribly quick ‘down’ parts being the cliffhangers at the end of each chapter, and especially chapters twenty through twenty-three. Undoubtedly the best winterdad/spiderson fic I’ve read yet, with the lore and everybody being perfectly in character, with Tony actually being incredibly lovable instead of the cold, Howard type asshole he’s typically made out to be, with Steve being an angel, with Bucky being so wonderfully Bucky. This is the perfect hurt/comfort fic for fluffy Stucky & TH-Peter, I wholeheartedly recommend!!
