The monks had told Aang and I of our destinies as coexisting Avatars earlier than usual since they feared there would be a great danger approaching us. I was a naïve kid. I hadn't yet wrapped my mind around the dangers and darkness looming around every corner of this world. I was also too ignorant to realize how stupid it was to think I could trust Aang.
