Sebastian’s chest tightened painfully.
If he ever found the Gaunts, he’d murdered them without a second thought.
“Careful with the steps!” Professor Weasley alerted.
Ominis let out a scream as they were hoisting him up the stairs.
“You’re okay,” Sebastian encouraged, over and over. “You’re okay. You’re not there. You’re with me, Ominis. We are at Hogwarts, remember? It’ll be okay…”
Another wave ripped through Ominis, and he screamed even louder — a sound so raw it made even Imelda flinch.
“Merlin,” she breathed. “What did they do to him?”

Sebastian remains beside Ominis, sipping his drink and apparently observing the party: the people dancing, the couple breaking up in one corner. Ominis is unsure if he should be the one to walk away and spare himself from the somewhat awkward silence.
“So,” Sebastian says after another moment, his tone casual. “Fancy having sex in the bathroom?”
Ominis considers his other options. Staying here to brood alone. Or tracking down Hobhouse and sharing his own thoughts on evil felines. He drains his drink.
“Sure.”
