D jolts in his seat, tea sloshing. He opens his mouth and closes it, and ends up saying entirely different words from his thoughts: “You were here yesterday.”
“Feels like it’s been longer.”
“You were here yesterday,” D accuses, insisting, and the smile he’s been so carefully plastering on his face all day, every day, drops into a scowl. “We have not been pleasant company to each other.”

Kyojuro wakes up with no memory of his past life and a stranger by his bedside that calls himself Akaza. He tells Kyojuro two things: firstly, Kyojuro had been in a life-threatening accident, and secondly, Kyojuro is now a demon.

Summary
