this fic…this ficcccccc…. i don’t think it’s written and explored enough the very real and relatable prospect of being fucking terrified of love, being vulnerable, allowing the opportunity to get hurt, etc. the way that frank is in absolute distress from the moments of experiencing a possible crush to the terrible deep in your gut sorrowful feeling and absolute raw fear and like 5 stages of grief including anger and depression and everything sucks forever😭😭😭 and curling in a ball in your closet so terrified and breaking down crying about how scared you are OUGH!!! what a chore it is to be human but what a reward it is to love!!!
i was a little here n there w the early on because the characterization i was like hmm w how douchey frank was but it’s like. the reader is meant to misunderstand because of his faux person as well lol. yknow. anywho. once you get past realizing like ohhh this is on purpose from life experiences of fear and stuff (frank i actually understand you so bad in this fic it’s a little sickening)
it’s like oh he’s the usual sweet funny caring emotional person. and i’m going to blow up this building
their dynamics ups and downs is very fun to read and their ultimate coming together is the best thing ever and reading when we’re told oh theres voices downstairs immediately i was like oh gerard answered the door to hit shitty neighbors LIKE IT WAS ALL FOR. head in my fucking hands. oh my god i don’t even care. do nawt read this fic when you’re emotionally vulnerable and just got done crying about ppl you love abandoning you DAMN😭😭😭this fic is soooo so so beautiful and yet again touches on such interesting topics/possibilities/whatevah in terms of vampirism and oiuhagah it’s always done so well op always does interesting and real and intimate and hard topics and always handles them so beautifully with the right amount of tenderness and reality and hope. wowwwwwwowowow i seriously seriously adore this fic. i absolutely love bite to break skin the original fic of this series and this is such a fun addition to that even if i don’t remember all the details (and keep accidentally blurring in some ‘black market blood’ fic details in my memory lol) but wow man this fic is beautiful

anywho after all the sad, their tender communicating and loveeee so much love on franks bday and the intimacy and the care and oh my god keels over dead their sex…kills myself. so beautiful
the epilogue was so sweet and funny too. short and silly, them listing off buncha bs for leaving the house as a clearly running bit they share, gerard being satiated on frank, seeing ray and his gf and brian and being like 😮 and hurrying back inside to giggle UGHHHH!!!!! i love them my chest hurts. you can tell that their relationship is stronger and changed in such a possitive way like it’s been stunted and then rebuilt so strong and in such a way where they’re so much more like. entwined. soul bound idk am i making sense
