Miyuki rubbed at his temples, trying to get the sound of Kuramochi’s annoyingly persistent voice out of his mind. With his begrudging friend and teammate right next to him though, it was proving to be a lot more difficult than he had anticipated.
For the past week, Kuramochi had gotten it into his head that Miyuki was lonely. Ever since his girlfriend cheated on him – after using him for his fame and money, no less – Miyuki was ashamed to say that his performance as catcher for the Yomiuri Giants had dwindled.

“I paid for your lunch,” Tetsu said suddenly.
“Uh yeah, I guess you did,” Jun laughed awkwardly. He ran his hand through his hair nervously. Why was Tetsu doing this with other people around? He heard the snickers from Miyuki and Kuramochi and he could just feel Ryou’s judging stare.
“I walked you back to your dorm,” he continued.
“Oh huh, you’re right.” Jun had a feeling he wasn’t making anything better but he couldn’t stop the words from coming out of his mouth.
“This was a date,” Tetsu insisted bluntly. When no one answered however, he continued, “Shall I kiss you and prove it?”
