Anathema pokes her head in the door when she hears the thud of the basket on the floor. “What’s up?”
Aziraphale simply points at the shirt. He’s not quite deep enough in his grief to cry at everything, at least not anymore. It’s not quite the ocean it was a few weeks ago, even if the waves are still strong. He’s managed to get a little closer to shore again.
“Oh,” Anathema says. “Oh, Az.”
And okay. Maybe he is still deep enough in the ocean to cry. It’s been weeks, now, since he’d last found anything, so maybe he’d just wrongly assumed he was getting better.

Jack breaks the silence with, “I could probably tell you parts of these from memory, y’know.”
“Then why don’t you?” Alex says. Jack’s eyes are still closed against the sun.
He takes a breath. ” ”Name one hero who was happy.” “ he begins. His voice is low, gentle, like he’s afraid to shatter the peace in their little bubble. “I considered. Heracles went mad and killed his family; Theseus lost his bride and father; Jason’s children and new wife were murdered by his old; Bellerophon killed the Chimera but was crippled by the fall from Pegasus’ back.”
He waves his hand absently. When it falls, it lands in Alex’s hair. Neither makes any move to shift it.
“ ”You can’t.” he was sitting up now, leaning forward.” Even with his eyes closed, Jack can feel the weight of Alex’s eyes on him, completely enthralled.

Anakin leapt up. No longer would he stay in these Council Chambers, waiting and waiting endlessly. He would be a part of his own story. He would make his choices. He couldn't let such a pivotal movement – an age-old conflict between light and dark, good and evil – play out in the background, offscreen. He had to be there.
Whether he would choose light or dark was a question for later.
He rushed towards the Council doors, grabbed the handles, and pulled them open.

Martin’s been glancing at the door every now and again for the past half an hour, looking conflicted about something. It's already quite dark outside, so Jon guesses he might be concerned about the safety of leaving at this time.
“Need some fresh air?" he prompts.
Martin's eyes snap towards him, he must not have been expecting Jon to say anything about it. Regardless, he hums an agreement. “It could wait until morning, I guess, but I imagine I’ll be all fidgety the whole night if I don’t go.”Or
Martin goes on an evening walk where he meets a very special little cow and keeps it company for a while while mourning its inevitable fate. Back at home, he's looked after by Jon, who can't bear to see him unhappy and with no one to comfort him. It's sad and it's fluffy, as Jon and Martin tend to be.Inspired by the poem "Two-Headed Calf" by Laura Gilpin.
