“Soulmates,” Clark says, his voice strained.

I have never read a fic more memorable than this one. Since the first time I read it in 2021 I've thought about it so often it makes my heart hurt so badly.

“So I’m the asshole here?” Suguru finally asks incredulously, doggedly attempting to lean even further backward as Gojo increasingly attempts to invade what limited personal space he still has. Do not try to make any further remarks that would compromise your relationship with a coworker. Do not fucking do it. It is your second day on the job. This is a coworker. Don’t fucking do it. “Pardon me, but maybe you should check a mirror every once in a while.”
“Frosted bears! Frosting!” the voice booms once more from the other end of the room. He might be hearing quiet snickering, but when he looks over, Shoko’s got as much of a bored face as she did when she first appeared with Gojo.
“You’re kinda funny!” Gojo laughs. It’s full and bright, but Suguru has to flinch to avoid any spittle as Gojo screeches and it kind of ruins the effect. “Shoko, this guy’s kinda entertaining. Which is exactly why it’s so bad that we’re gonna have to be enemies.”
