Here we go! I’ve dreamed of podficcing this work for a long time. I love it so very much. The questions it raises, the characterizations, the various perspectives on love, healing, safety…I just get chills every time honestly. And the (eventual, very appropriately timed) UST is phenomenal. Lettered’s writing has incredible emotional depth while also being so beautifully subtle in all the right moments. I’m so thrilled I get to engage with this story in a meaningful way.
Originally posted as a WIP, this work is now complete. Thank you to everyone who followed along while I was posting! You gave me to motivation to continue this massive project.
Chapters are about 1-1.5 hours long each. I haven’t yet figured out how to get it all into one file without my phone crashing, but I will persevere. Clicking the “entire work” button up top is the most I can offer you if you’re looking to binge this all in one go. Godspeed to you!
Pronunciation notes: I pronounce “hearth” wrong in chapter 1, but it’s correct for the rest of the podfic. I pronounce “Accio” the way I’ve heard it pronounced by readers in the UK, but it’s different in the movies so idk?
Kudos are gold. Comments are amazing. I love reading them all and try to respond to each one. Enjoy. ♥️
2023 Note: Just wanted to say I continue to be so grateful to all the listeners of this imperfect recording. As I mention in the notes later on, it was recorded and edited on my old iPhone, no proper mic or software to speak of, and with only a couple much shorter podfics that proceeded it as practice. It sounds quite different from the recordings I make now, but I've just forced myself to listen to it again (call it morbid curiosity), and while I definitely hear all those imperfections that I might not have noticed before, I'm actually still really proud of it. I can hear my love for this story in my voice, and it takes me back to the joy and excitement I had when recording it. I hope you hear that too. :)
