Summary
The life of a professional volleyball player is busy; extremely busy. So busy, in fact, that Oikawa finds it hard to pencil in time to return home to visit his friends and family. But Iwaizumi lives in the U.S.A. He works for a college as an athletic trainer, and his schedule is much less demanding than Oikawa’s. Their friendship has stayed strong through the years thanks to their similar time zones, and, well…
They may or may not have turned their totally platonic relationship into something more…sexual.Not that the thought of their sexual relationship upgrading to a romantic one hasn’t crossed Oikawa’s mind, because it has. Many times. But he’s much too busy to be in a committed long-distance relationship, and he’s also pretty sure that Iwaizumi truly just wants a constant source of sex in his life while he lives abroad. Someday, probably much sooner than Oikawa will, Iwaizumi will return to Japan and find someone to settle down.
Someone that isn’t Oikawa.
And Oikawa is fine with that. Really. He is.
At least, that’s what he tells himself every time he gets ready to spend his weekend with Iwaizumi.
