Chapter Text
🐧
In his freshman year of college, Huening Kai’s social life was unfortunately as much of a failure as his attempts to naturally evolve one his favorite pokémon in Pokémon GO , Eevee, into an Espeon. Eevee #246 evolved into another Jolteon, and Huening Kai had no friends.
In Kai’s defense, he had only been attending his university for a few weeks. He had barely gotten around to memorizing his schedule and the routes he needed to take, so why did his family somehow expect him to be rolling in friends by now? Kai was someone who didn’t befriend just anyone . He took his time getting to know people. Plus, so many people assumed he was a foreigner, which was an extra challenge on top of everything.
His family encouraged (read: nagged) Kai to sign up for some clubs at the very least, so little freshman Kai attended the college club fair, where Kai finally found the most perfect club for him. At Kai’s university, there was a Pokémon GO club that started just a couple of years ago. Kai quickly signed up for their newsletter, joined the club discord, and promptly left the club fair. He had found the one club he was interested in joining, so he had no need to stay any longer.
It was at the club’s first meeting that the trajectory of Kai’s life changed forever. Choi Soobin approached Huening Kai with a shy smile and heart-stealing dimples. He had said that he was hoping to make friends with similar interests and introduced himself to Kai.
The two boys quickly became attached at the hip. Soobin was a sophomore, and much more experienced at this college thing than Kai was. He walked Kai to his classes, asked the younger boy to study together, and even gave Kai notes for one of his classes that he got from someone else. He was so doting and sweet, Kai’s poor romantic little heart barely stood a chance.
Soobin wasn’t just sweet, he was also fun. Kai loved spending time with Soobin, whether they were participating in Pokémon GO raids, hanging out at a trendy cafe, or playing games in Soobin’s dorm together. Kai always had a good time when he was with Soobin. Soobin always had a good time as well, as he was always telling Kai how much he enjoyed spending time with him.
Kai didn’t bother making friends other than Soobin. He found the best friend he could ask for and he wouldn’t want to spend his time with anyone else.
The little crush Kai harbored on his best friend only grew bigger and bigger with time. Kai is now starting his second semester as a college sophomore, and he’s decided it’s time to experience college with a boyfriend—with Soobin as his boyfriend, to be exact.
Of course Kai is nervous about confessing, but he thinks Soobin likes him back. He is always so sweet and smitten with Kai, so Kai wants to believe that means Soobin likes him just as much as Kai likes Soobin.
It’s a Monday morning—nothing ever goes wrong on a Monday—when Kai wakes up and feels like it’s finally time. He shoots Soobin a text asking to meet up after his morning class, knowing Soobin will be available, then gets ready for class with a little extra pep in his step. Kai can’t help but be a little excited, today he was going to start dating his best friend!
His roommate, Taehyun, who is already awake and typing away on his laptop, notices Kai’s bubbly demeanor. “You’re unusually happy to get up for a morning class,” he comments with raised eyebrows.
“Not for class,” Kai replies as he pulls on a baby blue hoodie that he knows Soobin likes. “I’m going to confess to Soobin hyung today and ask him to be my boyfriend.”
“Oh, good luck, Kai.” Taehyun looks up from his laptop to smile warmly at him. “I hope it goes well.”
“Thank you.” Kai smiles back and grabs his backpack. “I have a great feeling about today.”
Kai plays Pokémon GO during his walk to class. He feels so happy for what’s to come in a few hours that he even catches the Pokémon he doesn’t need, so that they can feel included too. When the Weedle Kai finds turns out to be a shiny Weedle, he texts a screenshot to Soobin after catching it. He’s having a great start to his day.
Kai’s morning class on Monday is an intro level psychology course. He diligently takes notes until the class is over. Kai practically skips to the populated student sitting area and finds a table in range of the nearest Pokéstop, waiting patiently for Soobin to show up.
Kai’s heart stutters when he finally sees Soobin approaching, his beautiful dimpled smile on full display.
“Hey,” Soobin greets him as he throws his backpack onto the table and sits. “How was class, Hueningie?”
“It was good,” Kai replies quickly. “I have something important to tell you, actually.”
“Oh, me too!” Soobin visibly brightens. “I was actually going to ask to see you but you beat me to it. Can I go first?” he asks excitedly.
“Of course,” Kai agrees, leaning forward with his chin resting in his hands. “What is it?”
“This might be a little surprising but I wanted you to be the first person to know,” Soobin starts, fiddling with his hands. “I have a boyfriend.”
Monday’s are the worst.
Kai’s heart drops, and what started as a hopeful day quickly turns into perhaps the worst of his life. The shock must show on his face, because Soobin starts explaining.
“We just met last month, everything happened really fast which is why I haven’t had the opportunity to tell you. But I really, really like him.” Soobin smiles shyly. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, though.”
Kai’s palms start to sweat and he swallows down the lump in his throat. He may be heartbroken, but he doesn’t want Soobin to know that. Kai ignores the heavy weight of his heart in his stomach and offers up a small smile. “I’m happy for you, hyung. How did you guys meet?”
Soobin launches into the story of how he met his boyfriend and Kai tries his best to listen, he really does, but all he can focus on is the way his heart feels like it’s been ripped out of his chest and stepped on. Kai makes affirmative sounds on autopilot to make Soobin think he’s listening. When Soobin is done, he holds Kai’s hand with his own.
“I want you to meet him soon, by the way. I’m sorry for talking for so long, you wanted to tell me something, too! What was it?” Soobin watches him, ready to listen attentively.
Kai’s body fills with dread. He can’t confess now, he’ll surely ruin their friendship. However, Soobin is looking at him expectantly so Kai has to come up with a pretty good and interesting cover up for what he actually wanted to say or Soobin might push for more.
“I have a boyfriend, too,” he blurts.
“Really?” Soobin’s eyes grow comically large.
Kai is so stupid! Why did he say that?
“Yeah,” Kai lies. “It’s also new… I didn’t expect him to confess but he did and we’re giving it a shot.”
“Oh, that’s great, Hueningie!” Soobin says while squeezing his hand and smiling. “Maybe we could try a double date so we can all meet each other,” Soobin suggests.
“Yeah, let’s do that,” Kai agrees nervously while mentally slapping himself in the face over and over. Where was he going to get himself a boyfriend?
“So how–”
“Oh gosh! I forgot I had an assignment due!” Kai feigns panic and cuts Soobin off, quickly standing up and gathering his things. “I’m sorry, I need to go, text me!”
Kai doesn’t wait for Soobin to respond, he quite literally runs away. He runs all the way to his dorm, gasping for breath when he slams the door shut when he finally enters his room.
Taehyun is there on a break between classes, watching something on his laptop as he eats. He looks up in surprise at Kai’s entrance.
“Why are you out of breath?”
“You…” Kai trails off, still panting. “You need to pretend to be my boyfriend.”
“What?” Taehyun asks, confused.
“Please! I need to find someone before that stupid double date, there’s no way I can tell him the truth now. Please, pretend to be my boyfriend,” he begs desperately.
“Kai, slow down. Sit down and start from the beginning.”
After Taehyun has Kai sitting down and after he’s had a few sips of water, Kai takes a deep breath.
“I went to confess to Soobin hyung like I told you, but he said he wanted to tell me something first, and he told me he had a boyfriend.” Kai fiddles with his fingers, trying to ignore the fresh wave of heartbreak.
“Obviously I don’t want to tell him I have feelings for him now, but he asked me what I was going to tell him and I panicked! So I told him I had a boyfriend, too.”
Taehyun whistles, sitting back and crossing his arms. “Damn.”
“You have to pretend to be my boyfriend! I don’t know anyone else! I’ll even pay you!” Kai begs again.
“I can’t.” Taehyun looks apologetic, at least. “I’m kind of in a talking stage with someone right now and I don’t want him to get the wrong idea if the word spreads.”
Kai whines, collapsing on his bed. “What do I do?”
“Ask on Craigslist?” Taehyun suggests.
Kai frowns. “No, only creeps use Craigslist for that.”
“I’m not sure where else you could make an ad for a fake boyfriend. It would just get moderated and taken down.” Taehyun always has to be factual and correct. Kai wishes it would be helpful right now.
“I’m going to hang myself in our dorm room,” he says in a serious tone.
“No, you won’t.” Taehyun doesn’t even bother looking at him as he gets ready for his next class. “Listen, if I think of anyone who can help you, I’ll let you know, okay? Don’t do anything stupid in the meantime.”
“Thank you, Taehyun,” Kai sniffles, even though he hasn’t been crying.
“Don’t do anything stupid,” Taehyun reiterates before leaving.
It’s hours later, as Kai wallows in his dorm while rewatching some of his favorite anime that he gets an idea. He’s sure it can work as long as he remains cautious. Taehyun had said don’t do anything stupid… but Kai is sure this plan is genius.

Choi Yeonjun is finally in his senior year, and he’s determined to make his last year of college memorable. Luckily, his heaviest course load is over and it’s all smooth sailing from now until graduation as long as Yeonjun completes all his assignments on time. Most of Yeonjun’s assignments are project-based since he’s a fashion student, which is easy for Yeonjun as he has high motivation when it comes to bringing his designs to life.
Yeonjun loves clothes. It’s what drew him into his textiles major. Yeonjun loves making clothes, but he also loves buying them. There are so many talented designers in this world, and it’s so easy to find pieces Yeonjun wants in his own closet so that he can style them. Yeonjun thrifts often, but he can’t help it if he occasionally does a little too much online shopping. He’s only human. A human who loves shopping.
Currently, Yeonjun is a human who went over his monthly shopping budget for the next three months.
Yeonjun is desperate. He’s found the most beautiful jacket made by a designer he really admires and no money to buy it. Yeonjun needs this jacket! It would look so great styled with his growing collection of midi skirts! Alas, buying the jacket isn’t an option given the current state of his bank account. Yeonjun looked into picking up more hours at the campus gym’s dance studio he works at, but the hours don’t cooperate with his already full schedule.
Yeonjun tried to think, what other skills did he have that could make him money? And unfortunately, there was nothing he could think of that was both time and cost-efficient.
Being a shopaholic has led Yeonjun to places he normally wouldn’t go with a gun. This is what leads Yeonjun to the campus Reddit page.
Yeonjun carefully opens the student-made university subreddit. He recalls hearing from a friend that some people post odd jobs under an approved and moderated tag. He scrolls for a while, most of the requests being about doing assignments for people or cleaning their apartments and other similar tasks Yeonjun isn’t sure he wants to do. He’s about to give up when he sees a post that catches his eye.

looking for someone to act as my boyfriend. NOT SUS!
i would prefer to discuss the details in person but i will pay a generous amount of money to someone willing to act as my boyfriend for something. serious inquiries only! please respond asap, it’s an emergency!
Yeonjun won’t lie, he’s intrigued. Yeonjun feels like he could pretend to be someone’s boyfriend for a couple of days, especially if they’re paying good money. Before he can think twice about how this could be a bad idea, Yeonjun messages the original poster, pengplush02.
They respond pretty quickly, and in no time, they set up a date and time to meet in person and discuss the details of their request.
Yeonjun smiles to himself. He is totally getting that jacket!
—
The next afternoon, Yeonjun finds himself sitting in an ice cream shop near campus, waiting in a secluded booth for the mysterious pengplush02 . Yeonjun finds the cute ice cream shop an interesting choice of meeting place, but it makes sense once he sees who’s approaching him.
The college student walking toward him is tall, way taller than Yeonjun himself, and he’s quite broad as well. He would be extremely intimidating, if it weren’t for how utterly cute he was. He had a polite, timid smile on his lips and his dyed bluish gray hair flopped over his eyes at each step. Yeonjun smirked.
“Hello, are you Yeonjun-ssi?” He asks politely as he finally approaches the table.
“Yes, I am,” Yeonjun answers with a smile. “Are you pengplush02 ?”
The tall boy blushes and plops into the chair across from Yeonjun. “Yes. My name’s Huening Kai.” Kai hesitates for a moment, then holds his hand out for Yeonjun to shake. Yeonjun smiles and shakes his (rather large) hand.
Kai offers to order their ice cream and Yeonjun asks for a mint chocolate scoop in a bowl. Kai returns with two mint chocolate ice creams a few minutes later, sliding one over to Yeonjun.
“So… should I just get into the explanation right away? I don’t want to waste your time…” Kai looks sheepish and nervous as he spoons some ice cream into his mouth.
“Sure,” Yeonjun agrees easily.
Kai launches into an explanation about how he was planning to confess his feelings to his best friend until his best friend told him he had a boyfriend, causing Kai to panic and claim he had one too. Now he was searching for someone to act as his boyfriend to cover up his lie so his best friend wouldn’t discover his feelings.
Yeonjun empathizes with him. The situation isn’t uncommon in college. So many people become romantically interested in their friends, only for it to not be reciprocated.
“So basically, I would need you to act as my boyfriend for a couple of weeks and go on a double date with me… but this is how much I’m offering!” Kai rushes the last part and hands over his phone, where a number is written.
Yeonjun’s eyes must be cartoonishly bulging out of his eye sockets. He could buy three jackets with that money! He clears his throat, handing Kai his phone back.
“I’m not saying I won’t do it, but wouldn’t it be easier to come clean? If he’s really your best friend, this isn’t going to ruin your friendship,” Yeonjun can’t help but comment. He’s a virgo, giving advice is in his blood.
“I…I can’t risk it, okay?” Kai looks down at his ice cream, disappointed. “I’m not very brave when it comes to these things, it took everything in me to work myself up to confess, and look what happened. I’ll tell him at some point but definitely not now.”
Yeonjun is a little conflicted, but he’s unfortunately very weak to cute things. Kai with his big shiny eyes and unintentional pout, is unfortunately very cute.
“I’ll do it,” Yeonjun says. He reaches over and grabs one of Kai’s hands, turning it over so they can formally shake. “Kai, I am officially your boyfriend.”
Kai brightens instantly and starts shaking Yeonjun’s hand back with vigor. “Thank you so much, Yeonjun-ssi. I really appreciate it!”
“Call me hyung. And we’ll need to get to know each other well.”
“Okay, Yeonjun hyung,” Kai says smiling. “I’m a sophomore, I’m majoring in Music Composition, and I love to play Pokèmon GO .”
“I’m a senior, I’m majoring in fashion design, and I love to dance,” Yeonjun parrots. “This is good, but I mean we’re going to have to get to know each other a little more personally. If this guy is your best friend, he’ll be able to tell if we obviously don’t know each other on a deeper level.”
“Oh,” Kai pouts and his shoulders sag.
“I have an idea. We can go on official dates so that we can get to know each other and use them to train up for the big double date,” Yeonjun suggests. “I’m assuming the double date is the main event, since that’s when we’ll be meeting your friend.”
“Oh, yeah,” Kai nods. “That sounds like a good idea. How should we say we met?”
Yeonjun ponders for a moment. “What if we said we met because I dropped my armful of fabric I was taking over to the studio and you offered to help me? After you helped me, we just kept talking and talking and became interested in each other.”
“Oh, that sounds kinda romantic!” Kai smiles. “It sounds believable too! I’m not that outgoing usually but I think that’s a realistic way we could have met.”
“Perfect,” Yeonjun chirps. “Next order of business… Kai, I'm a fashion student. If you’re going to be my boyfriend in public you can’t be all… adidas pants and hoodies.” Yeonjun tries not to cringe. “I need to shake up your wardrobe a little.”
“Hey!” Kai pouts, crossing his arms. “There’s nothing wrong with what I wear.”
“Yes, there is,” Yeonjun responds. “But if you’re really adamant about not changing your style, at the very least you should borrow a jacket of mine or something. It’ll make us look official.”
“Okay,” Kai pouts. Yeonjun is shocked at how cute Kai looks. He’s like a giant, muscular, soft plush toy.
“Let’s exchange phone numbers,” Yeonjun suggests. He slides his phone over to Kai. “Make your contact name cute.”
Yeonjun receives Kai’s phone and thinks for a moment before saving himself as yeonjunnie hyung 💗 . When he takes his phone back, he sees Kai saved himself as kai ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ . Yeonjun doesn’t even know how he typed that, but he doesn’t ask.
“Well, when are you free for our first date?” Kai asks shyly.
“How about Thursday night?” Yeonjun suggests. “We’ll keep it simple and get coffee or milk tea. I’m sensing that you need some practice,” he teases.
Kai scratches the back of his neck, embarrassed, but agrees. Truthfully, Yeonjun needs practice, too. It’s been a while since he’s last gone on a date. He’s definitely not telling Kai that, though.
The two of them finish the rest of their ice cream in comfortable silence. Kai looks deep in thought.
“This is a little overwhelming, isn’t it?” Yeonjun asks with a chuckle.
“Yeah,” Kai agrees, playing with his spoon. “Is this weird for you too?”
“It’s definitely a little strange to talk so formally about relationship things,” Yeonjun responds.
He stops and actually thinks about the arrangement for the first time since he stepped into the ice cream shop. This pretend boyfriend thing was definitely going to be a bit of a commitment… but Yeonjun really wants that jacket. Additionally, Kai is cute and he seems a little desperate for help as well. Yeonjun has a very hard time saying no to cute boys. Yeonjun makes up his mind and swallows his last spoon of ice cream.
“I don’t do things halfway. You’re paying me so I’ll do a good job convincing your friend that I’m your boyfriend.”
Kai’s shoulders sag in relief. “Thank you, Yeonjun hyung. I really appreciate it.”
Once they part and go their separate ways, Yeonjun feels a weird sense of deja vu when he enters his apartment later, a smile on his face.
🐧
Kai takes a deep breath as he ties his shoelaces, getting ready to go out. They were tied before, but Kai untied them to give his hands something to do. He was extremely nervous.
Kai’s first meeting with Yeonjun wasn’t that bad. Any nervousness he had then was overshadowed by his desperation to find a fake boyfriend to hide his feelings for Soobin. But now, they are going on a date. It isn’t technically a real date, but Kai has so little experience, he’s nervous regardless.
Yeonjun had sent Kai instructions to pick him up from a dance workshop. The older boy had mentioned it was a cute, boyfriend thing to do.
Kai isn’t personally familiar with the campus gym, but it doesn’t take him long to find the dance studio Yeonjun was teaching in. The class is still ongoing, but almost over. Kai notices some people sitting on the sidelines and figures the safest thing to do is join them while Yeonjun finishes teaching his class.
It’s actually mesmerizing to watch Yeonjun in his element, and Kai is a little taken aback. The older boy is so great at dancing, he moves so fluidly and powerfully that Kai can’t take his eyes off of him. Yeonjun is also a fantastic teacher. He’s attentive to his students and gives them helpful feedback.
Yeonjun looks so attractive when he’s passionate and confident, Kai prays that everyone will assume the light blush on his cheeks is from the warmth of the dance studio.
The class doesn’t last much longer, and Kai only catches the end of it. Once most of the students have filed out, a few talking to Yeonjun or thanking him before leaving, Kai stands up and waits at the door. Yeonjun finally approaches him as the last students trickle out.
“I need to change in the locker room real quick, come on.”
Kai follows Yeonjun obediently and waits outside the locker rooms for him. Kai is glad he didn’t get too long of a glance at sweaty Yeonjun in a muscle tee up close. That might have made his brain start to malfunction. There was no way he was stepping inside the locker room.
When Yeonjun emerges, he holds out a stylish oversized gray jacket to Kai.
“I went with something similar to your style,” Yeonjun informs him. “It’ll look good with anything, really.”
Kai blinks at him before remembering their agreement.
“Oh, yeah.” Kai takes the jacket. “But what about my hoodie?” He was currently wearing a baby blue hoodie, it was actually one of his favorites.
“Let me borrow it. That way we each have something.”
Kai agrees, even though in his head, he’s thinking about how he actually doesn’t want to part with his soft hoodie. They move away from the locker rooms and Kai removes the piece of clothing, handing it to Yeonjun, before pulling on the gray jacket. The jacket is oversized on Kai, so Yeonjun must look like he’s swimming in it, if Yeonjun in Kai’s baby blue hoodie is any indication.
Yeonjun is tall and he works out, but he must be tiny compared to Kai. The hoodie is huge on him. Fortunately, Yeonjun looks stylish in anything, so the denim shorts he’s wearing pairs well with Kai’s large hoodie.
“We look good,” Yeonjun approves. “We should take some boyfriend pictures in the boba place.”
“Okay, but can we please go now?” Kai whispers. “That girl is staring at us.”
Kai is a little anxious. A girl he’s never seen before has been outright staring at them for their entire clothes exchange. She’s far away enough that she probably hadn’t heard them, but Kai doesn’t understand why she won’t stop staring!
Yeonjun laughs and links his arm into one of Kai’s and steers him away. Kai feels his heart rate speed up at the physical touch. He’s not used to doing this with anyone except Soobin, and occasionally Taehyun.
Once they are out of the gym and walking in the direction of the boba shop, Yeonjun speaks up. “The girl who was staring was Jimin. You don’t have to worry about her, she was probably just surprised to see us together like a couple.”
“Why?” Kai asks, confused. “Do you know her?”
“Kind of,” Yeonjun shrugs. “She’s in the dance department. She’s kind of a gossip, so she was probably just gathering intel or whatever.”
“Oh,” Kai responds. “Doesn’t that mean she’ll go around telling people about us?”
“Yup,” Yeonjun says, popping the p.
“That doesn’t bother you?” Kai shuffles nervously as they walk.
“Nah. Word would have gotten around eventually because of our dates, anyways. And what other people think doesn’t really affect us anyways.” Yeonjun is so confident and sure of himself, Kai is in awe. Kai isn’t necessarily insecure, but he can be a timid person. He finds himself admiring Yeonjun’s composed demeanor and self-assuredness.
They arrive at the boba shop a few minutes later. Yeonjun pulls Kai with him to the counter and pays for their drinks, despite Kai’s protests.
Kai blushes when Yeonjun hands him his milk tea. “Thanks,” he mumbles.
“Just act natural. This is a low stakes date.” Yeonjun pats his shoulder then sits across from him. “What was your major again?” he asks suddenly.
“Music composition.” Kai sticks his straw in and takes a sip.
“Oh, that’s so cool!” Yeonjun says excitedly as he sips his own drink. “If you’re comfortable I’d love to see any songs you’ve made.”
“Oh, maybe,” Kai replies, then bites his lip. He’s supposed to act interesting or flirty. “Your dance class was cool, too,” he tries.
“Really?” Yeonjun smiles kindly. “They’re always so much fun.”
“It looked like a lot of fun,” Kai adds sincerely. He actually was interested in the dance class. Not just the hot teacher. “Did you make that choreography yourself?”
“I did! I don’t teach my own choreographies every class, only for some of the experienced dancer classes. It’s so fun watching other people put their own style into something I created.” Yeonjun is so passionate when he talks about dance, Kai wants to impress him so badly. It’s because of this that his mouth works faster than his brain.
“I want to come to one of your classes.”
“Really?” Yeonjun’s eyes widen in surprise. “You dance?”
“Oh, uh, I haven’t before.” Kai leans back and scratches his neck awkwardly. “I want to try it out though.”
“I teach some beginner classes too, you should come to one!” Yeonjun seems so excited that Kai relaxes. He must have been doing something right.
“Okay, I will.” Kai smiles brightly.
“Has anyone ever told you that you have a pretty smile?” Yeonjun asks, a small smirk playing on his lips.
Kai feels his face heat up, but he’s determined to not back down.
“Has anyone ever told you that you have pretty lips?” Kai asks, trying to sound cheeky. He’s pretty sure he sounds squeaky instead, but then he’s suddenly rewarded with the sight of Yeonjun blushing.
“You’re good at this,” Yeonjun comments, cheeks still flushed as he sips on his drink some more. “I don’t think the double date will be all that hard.”
“Oh, yeah.” Kai almost forgot why they were here. He had been so caught up in trying to act like he was on a proper date that everything else had slipped his mind.
“I want to be friends after this is over,” Yeonjun blurts. Kai looks at him with wide eyes, shocked. “You’re cool to hang out with.”
Kai feels himself smile against his will. Kai doesn’t have many friends because he feels like he has all the friends he needs already, but he knows he couldn’t say no to Yeonjun. The older boy was cool and fun, Kai doesn’t want to say no. He’s honored that Yeonjun actually wants to be his friend after their weird pretend dating situation is over. Kai finds that he wants to be Yeonjun’s friend too.
“I want to be friends, too,” Kai agrees. He thinks for a moment before adding, “I guess I can show you some of my music, too. Since we’ll be friends.”
“Oh, added bonus,” Yeonjun laughs. He tries sipping on his drink before realizing he’s run out of milk tea. “Oh, I’m all finished. You ready to head out?”
Kai nods and the two of them throw out their empty cups before making their way outside.
“This is the part of the date where I walk you home,” Yeonjun says in a matter of fact tone. He holds out his hand for Kai to take. “Lead the way?”
Kai feels his heartbeat quicken a bit before he takes Yeonjun’s hand in his. Yeonjun interlaces their fingers together and waits for Kai to pull them in the right direction. Kai prays Yeonjun won’t be able feel his rapid pulse as they walk towards his dorm, hand in hand.
