“I have the next few days off, you know,” Phainon sighs as she presses her nose into Mydei’s hair, despite the blonde futilely swatting her face away due to the gross amount of sweat in her locks. “I could go to your next show. Can I be the most annoying fangirl in your front row?”
Mydei turns her head slightly, golden eyes peering into the mess of long white hair on her right shoulder. “I.. actually don’t have anything coming up for the next couple days. It’s our break period before we leave for Jarilo-VI to continue touring next week.”
“Mm?” Phainon hums, “I guess I’ll have to figure out some other form of entertainment for the both of us, then.”
Her breath was hot, burning, scalding, seizing, and Mydei does nothing to stop it as her girlfriend’s lips meet hers; the kiss sparks a settling warmth identical to the one that floods her chest when she opens their front door to their home after weeks of separation.

Summary
Mydei was used to strange and unfathomable things; it was the Chrysos Institute's job to contain and neutralize Anomalies that didn't fit in the laws of reality, to keep everyday people safe and largely unaware of their danger. He's a field agent, on the front lines where one misstep could mean death for more than just him, and he's one of the best- so it comes as a surprise when Aglaea puts him on a research project instead, in an attempt to understand- and kill- the mysterious and seemingly indestructible A-336, codename 'Irontomb.'
But as Mydei comes to understand Irontomb more and more, he starts to realize that there is a lot more to this Anomaly than meets the eye, and underneath the friendly and charming exterior lies a tangled mystery and terrible power.
This assignment might just be Mydei's most dangerous yet.

“Oh my god,” he mutters, heart racing. He chucks his teleslate on his bed and flops back down.
