Legend had been gone for months, but Hyrule stayed strong. His friend--his brother--would return. He had to be sure, for both of them, too afraid of thinking otherwise. In the logical part of his mind he knew Legend had more adventures ahead--not just one, not just two. So he would be fine, absolutely fine, and he’d come back and it would be like nothing had ever happened!
But the longer Legend was gone, the more he worried.

But Link knows everyone who lives here. With all the political unrest from Agahnim's reign, tourists to Hyrule are scarce– and yet, here are one, two, three, four… nine strangers all walking together along the trail. Armed. He has to strain his ears, but he can just manage to catch their voices from this distance.
“...We don’t even know where it’ll be.”
“It seems like there’s going to be somewhere indoors we can stay this time, though."
“And with any luck, the Vet will get us in the castle.”
Link bristles. The castle? The one in the scarf is saying something about an audience with the princess, but Link’s not about to let this slide. The knights are in no state to be protecting her right now, and Link’s not half bad with a sword himself.
If there’s anyone who’s gonna stop them, it’s me!Without thinking past that he leaps out of his hiding place, squarely blocking their path and leveling his blade.
“What do you want with the princess?” he demands.

After a battle gone horribly wrong, Legend sees Time trying to play a song on his ocarina. When the Old Man cannot complete it Legend, reasoning it must have been important, takes the instrument and plays it in his stead.
And keeps playing it, for as long as it takes.
