Wade doesn’t “<3” NY. In fact, he hates New York. It smells like shit, the sewer rats are the ones who really run things, and Jay Z was only partially right; it’s a concrete jungle where dreams are made of, except there’s nothing you can do.
So after Weasel, Domino, and pretty much the entirety of Sister Margaret’s decided to relocate to an old bankrupt Blockbuster Video on Manhattan’s east side, Wade almost didn’t go with them. Except he absolutely did, because he likes paychecks. It’s totally not because he’s pathetically lonely and would miss his friends. His negative opinion of New York is proven to be 42069% accurate when, within a month of moving, he’s kidnapped by a new off-brand Weapon X group that immediately puts a microchip in his skull to control him.
There is one good thing about New York, though, and he's snarky, wears unfairly tight red and blue spandex, and lives rent-free in Wade's head. Unfortunately, 'Temu' Weapon X wants their brand-new microchipped immortal murder slave to find Spider-Man's identity and all of his weaknesses.

Deadpool, AKA Wade Wilson, has known Spider-Man for a year now. The two are somewhat close and even meet up every Tuesday, despite having met quite awkwardly in the wild.
Peter knows virtually everything about Wade, but has kept his own identity secret, for safety purposes. Peter trusts him, sure, but he’s still a merc.
That all changes when Spidey accidentally kills Green Goblin, and Deadpool is assigned a hit on Peter Parker.

If there's one thing Peter knows about Deadpool, it's that he's predictably unpredictable.
So when he returns to New York this time around and starts acting entirely predictable...Peter has to get to the bottom of it.
He just never stops to consider that there might be some questions better left unanswered.

Peter hates Wade.
Hates the way he laughs in the middle of fights.
Hates the dirty jokes.
Hates how he always shows up when Peter doesn’t want company.
Hates how Wade watches him when he thinks Peter isn’t looking back.Or at least… that’s what Peter tells himself.
After a reluctant agreement between the two — “temporary collaboration against a bigger villain” — Peter is forced to spend entire nights with Deadpool, sharing rooftops, backpacks, and insults.
But the verbal sparring starts heating up in a strange way.
A glare that lasts too long.
A hand where it shouldn’t be.
A nasty compliment spoken in a voice that’s just a bit too rough.Peter knows this is going to end badly.
And Wade is counting the seconds until it does.
