It was a known fact. This isn't some way of self-deprecating himself, either, he genuinely just... Annoys everybody. It was a rare and very unfortunate power to have developed, filled in a world of people with hybrid-based powers, water control, fire control, super senses, or invisibility and speed,
Or... Nullifying powers.
Tommy was aware nullifying powers existed of course, and they weren't exactly that rare... At least, not as rare as the other powers that about, half of the population tend to develop- He simply didn't expect to notice coming in contact with somebody that has nullifying powers, because as far as he was concerned, he had nothing to nullify.
Then he did.

The sapphire blue sky, polluted with ashen grey and sparks of gunpowder decorated the sky and the floor caved in from the TNT, the people watched as their home got destroyed again, and they gave up.
Except for two, one short brunette and a tall blonde. They continue to fight, even though their relationship was being held together by thin strings they reunited in the name of protecting one of the only homes in both of their lives. That is, until the brunette gets blown away by beautiful works of gunpowder and dye. The blonde watches as the brunette's life slowly drains from his body, and he loses himself, watching the string that connected them together be ripped before his very eyes. And he begs for the sweet release of death in order to join the brunette.And he gets it.

This house, so big and expensive, was never supposed to take someone like him in- a house like this is meant for the nice children with good records and perfectly pleasant attitudes towards absolutely everything, even dog shit. It wasn't in the request forms that Phil had filled out, but it was just how foster kids were grouped sometimes; the good kids get the good houses, and kids like Tommy weren't even allowed in the neighborhood's vicinity. Him ending up here was never supposed to happen; there’d been some misplaced paperwork, and Tommy had ended up on Phil’s doorstep with a bad attitude and thunder in his expression, fully expecting to be sent away the second the man caught a look at the bruise on his jaw and the rage on his face. But he only opened the door further and told Tommy that they'd get it all sorted out in a few days. He'd naturally assumed that 'sorted out' meant sending him back, and had never fully unpacked in the days that he'd stayed; he mainly kept to his room, in the interest of not pissing off the nice man who hadn't left him outside like a lot of others had done. Tommy was never meant to stay.
Or: Tommy will throw down at any time for any reason and everyone knows it.

Tommy has been illegally drag racing with his friends Tubbo, Ranboo, Quackity for quite some time now, and he’s damn good at it. It’s one of the only things Tommy feels like he does right, and clearly he’s got to be good because he keeps winning the money. If it hadn’t been for the fact that His older brother Techno was in college most of the time and Wilbur hadn’t been so heavily in his academics he probably would have been caught a LONG time ago. When he gets the proposition to race Dream, the only other man who he had a competitive streak with, Dream decides to play dirty to win.
Now Tommy’s brothers knows his secret, and he’s not pleased one bit about it.

Tommy has fucked up. Look he knows he has. He pushed people away, took his brother's meds, and caused his other brother to have a meltdown. He's done some bad things. But that's in the past and he's doing better. He's made his amends and worked on his self worth. Just because he's fucked up in the past doesn't mean he is a fuck up. He understands that. Now, over a year down the line, things... things are good.
Of course, that changes with the appearance of a new foster kid. Who is this Ranboo guy anyway?
