Summary
The bathroom door catches, stopping abruptly. When another light push doesn’t budge it open much further, Jason flicks on the light before peeking his head in. Then he stills.
Catherine’s slack limbs sprawl across a dingy bathroom floor, long hair splayed on the yellowed and cracked tiles. Her face imitates a ghostly paleness, lax with dried vomit and stray strands of hair stuck to her lips.
He blinks.
It’s Dick.
───
It's raining. Dick hasn't washed his hair in days. Enter: Jason.

Summary
If he had to choose, Jason probably hated Dick the least.
(He wouldn’t call them friends. There was something too raw and visceral about them to fit into friendship, like they’d seen the worst of each other and continued to look past it, like they were always a little too desperate and violent around each other to be fit for anyone else’s company.)
or: five times Dick and Jason don't realize how close they are & one time they do.

Summary
“Dick!” Duke’s voice preceded him as he turned the corner into the kitchen. “How was— Oh sh-shoot,” he said, mincing the oath in Alfred’s presence. “You got feathers!”
Dick felt the wings twitch self-consciously. The keratin-covered pin feathers rattled together. “I don’t know if they count as feathers yet.”
“You look like a rotisserie chicken had a run-in with a porcupine,” Tim shouted from the top of the stairs.
“Yeah, thanks for that.” Dick rolled his eyes.
“You’ll be flying before you know it,” Duke said confidently.

Dick Grayson has two new limbs growing out of this shoulders. In theory, it's really, really cool. In practice, new bones and new organs are a lot to get used to.
