Summary
Leonardo is dead.
Or, at least, he should be. Instead, he is floating within a colorful vortex that reminds him too much of his own portals. He tries not to think too much about it. But, eventually he is forced to when the vortex spits him out into a world that used to be his home, many, many years ago.
Or; the one where Future!Leo somehow managed to luck out on a one in a million mere millisecond chance of a freak glitch in the space-time continuum that sends him back into the present, where the Invasion has been successfully driven back. And it looks like it was a one-way ticket travel.
Obviously, everybody is So Very Normal about this.

If Donnie were there, he would lay into him about all sorts of crap like "proper maintenance" and "don’t mess with my circuits, Nardo-"
But hey, it was kind of hard to find the right parts to fix his arm in a dead world.
Instead of dwelling on the direness of his own circumstances, he thought of what Casey might be doing. Maybe he found Leo’s family, their younger selves. He hoped his past self wasn’t too insufferable.
The fire crackled, sparking with ninpo, and Leo rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, yeah,” he muttered with a sigh, “No being mean to myself, past or present.”
