Summary
After the end of it all, ages after, Galadriel is called to Aman where a prisoner dwells in the shadows. A prisoner whose trial is at last approaching. And he will talk to one alone: Galadriel.
Galadriel must devise three trials to put Sauron through to prove he is worthy of redemption - and failure is not an option. After the first two trials were less than a success, Galadriel has to pull out all the stops for the third and she does not like it, at all. For the third trial will not only test Sauron but her as well. Because for this most crucial one, she will have to live through a time where when Sauron asks her to join him, she tells him yes.

He was silent for a moment. She heard his cloak rustle, the sound of his hand grasp one of the bars. The gentle tap of his rings against the metal filled her ears, and she shut her eyes.
“When you denied an alliance with me, I found other means of quenching my thirst.”
“For violence and depravity?” she shot back.
“For vengeance,” he hissed. “Just as you sought yours. Keep your righteousness to yourself. I care not for it. These Men, these Númenóreans, fought against me in the Great War. Slew countless lives. With their pride and their arrogance in their mighty goodness. They thought they were better than the rest of us as you yourself believed you were better than me.” His voice dropped to a whisper. “I wanted to see them suffer. I have achieved so much more than that.”
Written for an anonymous tumblr prompt: During Ar-Pharazôn’s rule of Númenor when Sauron holds the position of the High Priest of Melkor, Galadriel is captured in the middle of a war, imprisoned, and handed over to him as a sacrifice to be made in the Temple of the High Priest, but Sauron has other plans. From Akallabêth to the founding of Gondor, unlikely allies are forged.

Galadriel and Halbrand are in Númenor. When she is thrown in jail for sedition against the Queen Regent, she and Halband find themselves alone and able to plan for the future. Galadriel is bent on continuing her quest to find Morgoth's Shadow, but Halbrand attempts to change her plans. He plants within her mind the idea that she should rest. Relax. Cease her journey. His words worm their way into her innermost being and what should have been the bridge to the next leg of her hunt for Sauron turns into an opportunity to help the Queen Regent with a problem of her own. As Galadriel works to avert a crisis heading for Numenor, she and Halbrand grow closer and closer, even to the point of falling in love.
But Galadriel doesn't know what lurks beneath the surface… That the very one she seeks is beneath her own passionate hands. That the destruction of Numenor resides in the intentions of the man she has come to love more than life itself.
*This is a canon-divergent fic, with things in Númenor happening differently than they do in The Rings of Power Season One.

“I asked for a handsome reward in exchange for Finrod Felagund’s life,” the man called out across the distance. He was tall, though not as tall as her brother, and dressed in swathes of black and grey, a loose hood shielding most of his face and hair from sight. “What do you bring me in exchange for him?”
“Galadriel, no—” Finrod began, but Galadriel cut him off.
“—Myself,” she answered his call, though it did not sound as assuring out loud as it had sounded to her before she left her home to make this perilous journey to come save her brother.
The black-robed figure chuckled in response. It started low, but it reached the distance all the way toward her. He grasped Finrod by the neck of his tunic, yanking him back. “What would I do with you?” he threw back at her. “You’re hardly a fair exchange for the warrior I hold in my grasp.”
During the First Age, the War of Wrath changes course. On the island of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, the Isle of Werewolves and one of Sauron’s former strongholds, is the seat of the Necromancer’s power. Instead of sending his wolves out to kill Finrod after capturing Felagund in his dungeons, Sauron demands an exchange for his life. Galadriel offers herself.

Galadriel knows that voice. That drawled, amused, slightly condescending voice. Her mind is still hazy from sleep but her heart warms with an instinctive flicker of happiness.
“No stew this time, I’m afraid,” the voice continues, rough with the accent of the Southlands. “Poisoned or otherwise.”
His words and the familiarity of the walls around her overlap in her mind, nudging her to remember something. She follows their trail sluggishly, slotting memories into place as she finds them. She takes a moment to admire the full picture – and then comes the weight of remembering, of loss and rage, crushing her with a weight so heavy it pins her to the stone cot beneath her. Her breath leaves her in a rush, exhaling those last little sleepy shards of hope.Or:

John Wick AU. For four years, Galadriel has lived a life in freedom. After executing a mission that was supposed to be impossible, losing two of her brothers in the process, she and Finrod got out of the family business. She left the criminal underworld behind her, fully convinced that she would never return—but then her brother’s dead body is found in New York, branded with the Crest of Angband.
After Morgoth’s death, Sauron was left with the daunting task of keeping the Angband family from falling apart. For four years, he’s successfully kept the organization together—but then he finds out that one of his underlings has killed Finrod Noldor. The infamous Daughter of the Golden House of Finarfin has been brought back to life, and she’ll be coming for them. To save his organization, he disguises himself as Halbrand; an exiled member of the Angbands' inner circle. He knows he can’t defeat Galadriel in a fair fight, but he has no intention of playing fair.
As Halbrand and Galadriel team up to take down Sauron, they soon realize that there are more forces at play than either of them thought. The Angbands are not the only ones who want to see Galadriel dead, and Galadriel is not the only one who’s after Sauron.
