The resulting sight is too adorable for words.
"D'aww, look at you! You're a handsome one, aren'tcha, Smushy? ... Nope, that's terrible, even for me."
Yet to his surprise, the baby lets out what can only be described as a giggle. Downright delighted, if he says so himself! "Huh. Guess the customer’s always right in matters of taste. Is that really gonna be okay with you, Smu—hey, whoa, whoa, whoa, not in your mouth, that is not where those go!!!"

Though Nai is much bigger and stronger—he’s almost as tall as Vash now—and they’re a tangled mess of limbs and warmth, he cards his fingers through Nai’s hair, and scratches lightly at Nai’s scalp. He doesn’t voice it, but he notices the alpha-like scent from earlier has vanished.
Vash scents him like he does every time Nai does this. He coats his son in it, leaving no doubt who Nai belongs to.
