Summary
The children of Aragorn Elessar and Arwen Undómiel vanished on the very night when darkness besieged the city. An ancient and potent light, sudden and without warning, struck them and cast them far back into the past, to a time before the War of the Ring had even begun. None among them knows what befell them, nor that the others endured the same fate.
They were sent forth to guide those who would shape the future: to forestall impending dangers, to safeguard that which must endure, and to share their knowledge. Their mission is clear: guide and tell. To protect those destined to survive and to die, to illuminate the uncertain, and to buy precious time for the world.
Yet so long as they remain scattered, the curse holds them fast, and none recall that they ever existed.

Summary

“Éowyn,” [Elfhelm] said, drumming his fingers on the desk, “how long have you been working here?”
Éowyn calculated quickly.
“Hm. Two years, seven months, three days, and, I suppose, four hours?”
“I see,” Elfhelm said. “And how long have you been in love with Faramir Stuart, would you say?”
He said it so casually, as if commenting on the ebbs and flows of traffic.
The ground shifted under Éowyn’s feet, and it took years of practice in feeling less to keep from covering her face and collapsing where she stood.
“But – sir – with respect,” she said, as soon as she pinioned a rational thought, “that is my private life, and are not such things discouraged?”
Elfhelm turned his eyes skyward.

Summary... summary... summary! Boy, there is a lot that has happened. Honestly too much.
Stuff has happened, like a lot, a lot. Boromir is in fact alive! My butt got saved by Eomer and his men. Éowyn is a sweetheart. Arwen and the wonder twins and my father were at Helm's Deep, big thanks for the assist! Oh right, Galadriel's gift really was handy. Had to deal with a bomb and everything... So much to do! So tired, far from done and now we all have to pick up our dear hobbits in Isengard.
And for some reason Legolas is being a shit, and I have to deal with that too on top of everything.

Summary
"Éomer, son of Éomund and Third Marshal of the Mark, did not have time for women or relationships. That had always been the case. He’d been on this path for many years, one of being a Knight of Rohan, putting his country first through his service. It never left any time for courting any of the women of Edoras. He told himself over and over again that he didn’t have the time for that; courting was a luxury he couldn’t afford himself.
He’d seen other men catch feelings, and he certainly understood the phrasing of that. To him, it always looked like they caught some sort of incurable illness. Feelings were a disease in Éomer’s mind. One that made a man way worse for wear in war. So he simply couldn’t afford that in these days of war.
Éomer was pretty good at balancing all of that, at making sure he didn’t get too close to anyone he thought would be interested in him, and he definitely wasn’t about to catch feelings for anyone any time soon.
So how was it that Boromir, son of Denethor, mighty warrior of Gondor, slipped past his awareness?"
