Se lançant tête la première dans un vaste jeux à la complexité qui le dépasse, il est censé faire sa voie jusqu'à l'échec et mat et s'enfuir du plateau.
Mais lier sa vie à celle du jeune roi censé mourir de sa main fait plier son allégeance. Des nuances de gris ruissellent sur le plateau, des pièces changent de main, et il doit maintenant trouver sa propre place sur l'échiquier s'il veut s'en sortir.

Techno opened the door to his room to three people, all wearing dark clothing that covered most of their faces.
“Who the fuck are you?” One in a dark green mask demanded, a knife in hand.
“I feel like I should be the one asking you that,” Techno countered, “I was told this was my room, and you kinda look like thieves.”
Though he wouldn’t blame them from wanting to steal from the old king.
As long as they didn’t try to kill him, they could just leave.
“This is the king’s room,” The one in the blue mask corrected.
“Exactly,” Techno agreed, “So, uh, what’d you come here for?”
“What do you mean ‘exactly’?” Red mask scoffed.
“There’s been a change in management, so this is my room now since Schlatt’s kinda… dead.”
The three looked at each other confusedly.
“Just so we’re clear, you killed Schlatt?” Red asked.
Ah…
This wasn’t going well.

Dream and George slowly turn to look at the little boy sitting on the snow covered ground, clapping his hands happily. He can’t be older than two. With blond curls that wisp at his ears and large brilliant blue eyes that glimmer at them. The child’s attire is clear in its red, fire nation, colors.
George whispers against Dream’s neck, “Is that a baby?”
Dream stares down in shock as the child claps his hands again, completely focused on the couple. He licks his lips wondering if he hit his head on the way out of the ship, “Looks like it babe, yeah.”

Sapnap, George, Sam and Bad weren't even a team. However, since they were all leaders of their respective teams which missed one member each, they got thrown together in the last efforts of catching the notorious Dream.
Nobody knows Dream's real identity, nor do they know why they're hunting the man down, but the bounty is too damn sweet to pass up on.
It was supposed to be easy since all of them were S-grade assassins.
They were supposed to catch the man then get drunk as hell afterwards in celebration.

Modern Au, Dream is a secret agent appointed the mission to find the notorious assassin 404. What happens when that particular assassin, without his knowledge, begin to work for him? What happens when a strange friendship begins to bloom between them. Will they survive, when things inevitably unravels?

These two Mafia’s had the darkness under their control. People feared these gangs, they were known as ruthless monsters who killed people for fun. Which was quite accurate. Yet, these Mafia’s have never been caught once. There are no records of any of these people. Police suspect they they’re right under their noses and they just can’t figure it out!
