Sylvia brews potions. Finn stirs the pot. They fall in love somewhere between sabotage and surrender.
A slice-of-life focused chronicling of their relationship post-game, where cards ramp affection and every match is just courtship with scorekeeping. From card battles to creature comforts, Itsy Bitsy Kaiju is the constant throughline—a language of teasing, tactics, and quietly cementing trust, building out into other arenas more as they slowly hit relationship milestones. When two highly competitive people try to share a life without ever calling the game, this is the result. Mostly domestic, though occasionally derailed by market errands, tournaments, tavern visits, and other such wild cards.

Summary
As someone who is a fan of the - at current - still updating series, I was shocked- devestated! Shookth to my core-th! that the actual author of “Tiny Giant Monsters” is putting the series on a small hiatus.
Nothing major, no big bad reason. Just life taking priority for the time being.
So - with their blessing - I’m kinda, sorta adding my own scenes to the story to help cope- I mean… wait until it comes back.

Summary
Sylvia was content in a way she hadn’t let herself be in a while. Just her and Finn, good food, relaxed conversation. It was nice to enjoy something so simple as a night out without the competition hanging over her head. Now, with her belly full and the pleasant hum of the evening lingering, she felt lighter than she had in weeks.
The feeling lasted right up until she reached her door—just slightly ajar.
She frowned. That wasn’t right.

One second they were sniping—Finn looming too close with that maddening grin, Sylvia snapping back simply to feel the sharp rake of his attention—and the next, his mouth was on hers like he’d been starving for it. Like the whole spiral had been a setup just to get her close.

"No. No, no, no."
Sylvia finds her hands grasping the sides of her face as her skin goes cold and her heart clenches. She had done everything she could. She knows that some of the potions hadn't been as high quality as they maybe should have been, but she hadn't really thought that this guy would put in the work to actually make something that would best her. Though she of all people should know better than to underestimate a competitor. Now, all she can do is watch as the money representing her life is handed over to a guy who dumps coins into his potions just to hear 'em jingle. Speaking of... Boss Finn's voice pulls her brain harshly back into her body.
"You poor thing. In over your head and you done drowned." Sylvia tries to form a response, something snarky and snappy and clever... but she just watches, shaking with rage as that grinning bastard turns on a heel and walks away.

This is just a self-indulgent exploration of "What If Sylvia Lost To Boss Finn In The Third Competition" that I am writing for the joy of myself and my partner.
Losing a competition in the game is just game over, but what would actually happen next? What if there is a big beautiful fish man with a lot of money.
