Just then, loud steps sounded behind him. Lan Xichen ducked behind a stack of crates, his mind racing to formulate an explanation as to why he was lurking around the docks at night, in time to see a group of Wen foot soldiers approaching. They didn't seem to have noticed him yet. He took another step back, hoping to avoid being detected, but bumped into the wooden boxes, knocking one of them over with a crash. It broke open on hitting the ground and oranges spilled everywhere. The Wen patrol spun around, and Lan Xichen knew that he was caught. He was just about to risk everything by producing his sword and trying to fight his way out when he heard a strangely familiar, if unexpected voice at his elbow, and felt someone sweep a cloak over his shoulders, obscuring him from sight.
"Oh, gege, you're so clumsy! You definitely had too much to drink, what a mess you've made!"

After the sacking of Cloud Recesses, Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen are taken captive by Wen Ruohan. Sixteen months after the event, Wangji turns eighteen and is given a choice: to die a prisoner’s death or to join his brother as Wen Ruohan’s pleasure slave.
Wangji chooses the latter, in the hopes that being reunited with his brother will give them a chance at survival and escape. But does Xichen actually want to be saved?Feels, angst and lots, lots of gratuitous smut ahead. I have no excuse other than that the Jadecest Discord made me do it.
Oh, and in my mind, Wen Ruohan is youngified by cultivation and yassified into Luo Yunxi from Till the End of the Moon. Just so you know.

Lan Xichen had always been raised to be an honest man; He could count the amount of lies he’d told in his life on his hands, and the amount of secrets he kept on one. He’d never been one to hide things from his Shufu or father, but this was different. He knew they’d never understand his relationship with Meng Yao, knew they would disapprove, so he kept it a secret from them. Sometimes good things weren’t meant to be shared, and he came to understand that as his and Yao’s relationship developed over the years.
This fic is a part of a challenge in the Demonic Cultivation cult server on discord for pride, today's color prompt was yellow, and I chose to use the meanings happiness, excitement, optimism, and it's modern connection with war (as this covers both pre, during and post sunshot campaign)

A MDZS Science Fiction AU flavoured slice of fic.
The Wen have moved against both the Lan and Jiang Sects. Cloud Recesses has fallen victim to their new weapon the Sun Striker, while Lotus Pier has been subjugated. The members of the Lan and Jiang Sects are adrift, hiding in the shadows while Wen Ruohan establishes himself as Emperor in the Imperial Senate. Across the galaxy, safety becomes an illusion.
Lan Wangji is out patrolling along the edges of what had been considered Gusu Lan space when he receives a broken distress call. Code Black - the most urgent call that can be made, yet there is no locator beacon attached. Buried underneath the surface is another message, one that sparks hope that maybe everything has not been lost.
The signal is weak, crackling with static, and of unknown origin.
Still, there is something different about this message.
Lan Wangji can almost feel it.
