She didn't expect her son to do so well, claiming the main eight badges of Kanto, and thus getting a message inviting him to visit the World's Greatest Pokemon Trainer, which he would accept.
And she didn't expect to feel the storm raging from New Island, calling for her true self…The world is possibly not ready for Delia. The world is totally not ready for Mew. The world has no choice but to accept the truth:

Dark forces are at work that threaten all of Kino. Evils that have lurked in the shadows are about to come to light. Pokemon who seek power and fame are on the move to find the shards. Does a human turned pokemon and his partner eevee have what it takes to rise to the challenge, to save Jirachi and Kino from the darkness before it is too late?

A human wakes up on a beach.

Well, thankfully, it's not like anything ever happens on the Nineteen Archipelago, the archipelago that, as you might guess from its name, has only eighteen islands. Things like monsters from billions of years in the future or past, a brand-new type, and Things from other dimensions don't exist. Right?
Oh, and, also, there's a Treecko and a Duskull there. Huh. Neat.
