Jinx is indifferent with the intense support she's receiving from Zaun, encouraged to take over Silco's place after his death. Shed prefer to hide in her base for the rest of her miserable days, as much as Sevika discourages.
Will anyone stand up to defend Zaun, or will its people fall to turf wars, police brutality, drugs, pollution, stravation, and sickness?

EP209 - Between the moment Ekko stops Jinx from killing herself and the one they appear for the Battle against Noxus, he brings her to the Camp of the Firelight. Between his duties to a people ready to go to war, Ekko has to watch his oldest friend go adrift in her mind while she finds no place for herself in this safe heaven which is, despite the end of the world closing in, too perfect for her.
They can't pretend nothing happened. Ekko can't lie and tell her everything will be okay. But he would do anything to keep her tethered to the real world, to him, to life; for her to hold on one more night.
And what only began as a manoeuvre to buy himself time becomes the most ruthless and honest way to finally have a true conversation with Jinx. And none of it is pretty. -

“Okay, okay,” he placated, swallowing softly. She could still see the reluctance in his eyes, still see that fury-inducing worry and disbelief at her.
(she didn’t believe herself either, she couldn’t blame him for seeing through her, the smartest, kindest, bestest boy she knew-)
“I trust you.” He murmured, forcing brown and soft eyes back to the streets. She ignored the light burn behind her eyes, forcing them to be rigid along the streets below them.
She ignored the mean voice sprouting back up.

Ekko is a Pit Fighter in Season 1 Act 3 after a series of life-altering events. This is still Ekko the Firelight Leader, the same canon events playing out until just after the Progress Day raid.
