Summary
"They’re sitting in a bed of golden flowers somewhere far beneath the earth, and, as far as they can tell, for better or for worse, they’re decidedly still alive."
_ _ _ _ _
Frisk climbs a mountain and inadvertently awakens an ancient terror sleeping beneath the flowerbed they land on when they fall. If by "ancient terror" one assumes the less-popular definition of "annoying narrator-ghost princet of monsterkind who is now, unfortunately, permanently stuck in their head."
Chara doesn't want to be awake. They especially don't want to be helpless in the back of a bloodthirsty human's head, watching them ruin the only home they've ever known with no power other than their voice to fight back with. Luckily for them, that's not what's happening at all. Unluckily for them, they may have to re-evaluate a few things about their worldview. Which, for someone as set in their ways as them, is not an easy thing to do.
(Then there's the matter of the weird flower, Frisk's unusual powers, and the Longest of Long Days the underground has ever seen.)Chara & Frisk no player AU true pacifist. Updates semiregularly!

Summary
Frisk, a child who previously gave up on living due to having a hard time on the surface, falls into the Ruins. After spending time in Toriel's care, they find the strength to go on. To them, this means they need to leave the Ruins. After facing their first death during a confrontation with Toriel, they address the elephant in the room (or rather, the extra human in their brain): Chara. Chara has no memories of their life and no motivations in particular, but as they get to know the other human kid that they're stuck with, they can't help but get attached. Frisk reminds them of themself, somehow, as if they were two sides of the same coin.
Together, they traverse The Underground in their now shared body, meeting foes, friends, and foes turned friends along the way. Despite having previously considered themselves good as dead (or actually dead in Chara's case,) they find their hearts crying out that they want to live, no matter what that ends up meaning to them.

Summary
“it’s just…you keep acting like something horrible is waiting for you at the bottom of this mountain.” His whispered voice was calculated and obnoxiously observant.
Frisk chewed their lip and felt their nails subconsciously start digging into their palm. The last thing they wanted to do was ruin anyone’s excitement about the surface with their own anxieties. If anything, they thought they’d been hiding their fears pretty damn well.
“There are some things, Sans…” their voice seemed to start against their will, hushed and constricted. They put a hand over their heart, which was beating restlessly.
“…that I just can’t explain to you,” Frisk finished exasperatedly.

Summary
You are staring at the underside of Chara's bed, casting a shadow over your own. There are uneven gaps in the bed frame, showing bumps of a yellowed mattress. They're not very interesting to look at, but your eyes are glued to them, too tired to move.
Your thoughts are slow like you're freezing over. Everything feels distinctly unreal. Hazy, muddled, and fading like a dream. You want to get up to check on Chara but you can't. You can't move. Your body won’t listen. It's like it isn't really yours. Maybe it never was? Maybe you just borrowed a vessel that was never truly yours to begin with and now you're finally drifting away, freeing it from your influence.
Or: Frisk is having a rough evening and Chara helps.
A companion piece to Taking root Both can be read independently.

Summary
“I will kill you one million times!”
Frisk was bad at dodging. Contrary to everyone else Omega Flowey’s attacks were physical meaning his attacks weren’t painless, so contrary to all other monsters before, dying repeatedly and trying again and again to lean how to defeat him didn’t come without price.(Inspired by what Omega Flowey says when you die repeatedly against him)

Summary
They wouldn’t understand, of course. You’re a saint in their eyes: even this action makes you more angelic. Peaceful, loving Frisk, forgiving them all, loving them all, without horror in your eyes or wrath trapped in your throat. It’s a lie, of course, because no one is that perfect, that saintly. But they believe it, don’t they? Self inflicted: you made them believe it. The perfect lie you’ve sold, and how dare you be bitter at even that sweet you make them eat with a gluttony? But it’s true, isn’t it? No matter how you deny it, you seethe, you flinch, you want to scream. They wouldn’t understand, not at all; you don’t want to.
Flowey understands, though.

Why are they the bad guys
Why is this child punished for defending themselves
Is one side truly pure evil even if it's self defense? What does it truly mean to have that power to control the timeline?Save, load, reset all of that power certainly can cost something of the user and are you truly friends if you would've killed them in a overwritten timeline
Let's really see the price of misjudgements and the cost of dragging a child in a situation that could have ended a long time ago

Summary
A voice, quieter than a whisper, louder than a thought, told her to do it. She pressed it delicately, breaking in a few lines on her otherwise flawless skin. At first, those three were white. She's done it a million times with a blunt boxcutter before, she knew how it went. The lines would turn red, then disappear before she blinked, always only showing themselves to be admired for a few seconds before being gone seemingly forever. They never dared break the skin.
Her body tensed up, her forearm welcomed the unfamiliar sensation. The white lines didn't stay white, they turned an unfamiliar red, a red that stayed for a while longer.

Summary
"Why don't you like monsters so much? I mean—they're not bad!"
Tiny hands signed everything in the air as their black eyes looked at you intently. Brown bangs fell into their eyes, which helped for a moment to avoid some kind of childish judgment—why don't you like monsters? You've thought about this too. Perhaps because of the ghost that is following you around.
Says strange words.
says there is no place for others here.
..says that you can create an ideal world without... it.
"I don't dislike them, I'm just... careful?"
You said with a shrug as you continued to play with the strings of your hoodie.
in any case, we can contribute more to this world than all of them. Take advantage of it, ___.
