Cheng Xiaoshi was staring at him curiously. "What's got you so distracted?" he asked, furrowing his brow. "Are you okay?"

Lu Guang glanced at him, unsure what he was going to say next, but to his surprise, Cheng Xiaoshi simply held up a piece of snowskin mooncake.
The darker-haired man grinned at the white-haired one. "You should eat too. Come on; I know you like this flavour."
He paused. Cheng Xiaoshi… In the end, he nodded slightly, his lips curling again in a tiny smile. "Mn. Thanks."
The three chatted and ate, testing out all the different flavours and rating each one. As usual, Cheng Xiaoshi did most of the talking and Qiao Ling did a lot of the replying—and Lu Guang listened.
It was nice simply getting to hear their voices, to hear their laughter, to hear them having fun. Especially after everything.
In many ways, Lu Guang was selfish. Not only that, but also a hypocrite and a liar. He should have let go of all of this a long, long time ago...

One day, on the saddest night of his childhood, the moon shone brightly, its light piercing through the clouds and coming closer and closer to the wailing child.
Child Jaehyun halts his crying when an ethereal man, glistening in the moonlight, sits at his windowsill. The ethereal man asks him why he was so sad at a night where the moon shines bright. Jaehyun points at his favourite stuffed toy that had been torn into pieces and explains as best as he can through sniffles.
The glistening majestic man smiles softly and instructs Jaehyun to close his eyes and wish for his stuffed toy to come back. So Jaehyun clasps his hands together and closes his eyes shut, and beneath his breath he whispers
“Please bring back my bunbun”
A bright flash of light seeped through his shut eyes and once he opened them, the man was gone, taking his place on the windowsill was Jaehyun’s bunny stuffed toy, good as new. Ever since that night, Jaehyun grew fonder with the moon.
