Summary
This series explores one potential outcome of Mass Effect 2's loyalty missions--one where Garrus spares the traitor Sidonis, and one where Thane Krios successfully prevents his son Kolyat from following him down the assassin's path. The former, no longer on the run from his old vengeful commander, has finally collapsed into himself to become a drunken and depressed shell of a turian. The latter, given a second chance through community service work with Citadel Security, has to wrestle with the sudden reappearance of his absent assassin father--and process the cognitive and emotional dissonance that follows. Through unfortunate circumstances and twisted serendipity these two outcasts collide, each giving the other a different perspective and, potentially, a friend.
Will the traitor Sidonis be able to, through his works, efforts, and intentions, atone for his crimes? With the spiteful prodigal son find his own path through life, and find peace? (Almost all characters besides Dulan are cannon, and written through extensive research in both DA and ME lore. Directors notes, books, comics and even a short interview with Drew Karpyshy, one of the lead writers of mass effect.)
