Summary
Hunting down people who hurt omegas isn't an easy job. It requires a lot of hours, many sleepless nights, and having to learn to live with the horrors they see in the process. The end result is worth it though, trafficking rings being taken out before they can cause more harm and omegas being freed to hopefully start living their lives once they're able to deal with the trauma.
Despite the long hours and trauma, however, Bang Chan and his pack wouldn't trade it for anything. Occasionally working with Hongjoong and his boys, it's what he's meant to do. He just didn't expect to find his seventh and final mate during one of those rescues.

I hated him with everything I am, and I still do, but it took so much energy to hate him that it started to morph into self-hatred. I started to believe him at some point, and obviously I still do believe him, but I don’t want to anymore.
“He’s had his claws in me for too long, Chan,” Hyunjin groans, and he watches as Chan licks his lips. Oh, he’s so fucking into this. “He’s dead, but I still feel him watching me. I hate it, but it’s there. It gets quiet sometimes, but when I get stressed, it all comes rushing back, and I feel like I need to leave everyone behind because I’m not good enough to be around them.”“You are!” Chan protests, reaching out to cup Hyunjin’s jaw. His hand is so warm in the cool night air, so strong against his frail skin.
Maybe it’s strong enough to hold him up when he can’t do it himself. He might be getting ahead of himself.

After the Blesseds took over humanity, beings born with magic in their veins thrived in a world where humans no longer have the power over their existence. Days of being hunted down and treated as lab experiments came to an end. Felix only learned the bare minimum amount of Korean he needed to live through day-to-day life. No, he wasn’t being lazy; Korean was just an incredibly complex language. He was already stressed out of his mind, and he didn’t need one more thing to worry about. He knew how to hold a basic conversation, how to take coffee orders, and how to ask for directions. That was all he needed, really, and people usually gave him grace. They would coo at his fumbled pronunciation, and one shining smile was all it took for them to brush it away; enamored enough by his charm to even leave a tip. He could slip into the background, quietly working to piece back together the shattered remains of his life by himself.
But then there was Hyunjin.
