Upon seeing that Vi hadn't locked herself out again, Caitlyn picked up the pace towards the racket at their apartment door and flung it open to a truly pitiful sight.
Standing out in the hallway was a tall blonde woman wearing -formerly- shining armor who was soaked to the bone, covered in blue and pink paint, and seemed to have what looked like a bear trap wrapped around her right leg. Her arms were wrapped tight around her as she shook, likely from a combination of chills from the water ---Aspects, Caitlyn hoped that was water--- and small sobs.
"M-may I come in?"

Summary
Frankly, this wasn't anywhere near the most dangerous or uncomfortable situation Lux had been in as bait for one of Jinx's plans. She wasn't sitting on a giant bomb, like when she first met Ekko. They weren't in a building that was on fire and filled with toxic gas like when they tried to pull that stunt on Veraza and Glasc, although it was her own idea to be bait that time when things went south. Then there was that time Vi and Caitlyn "rescued" her from a pack of robotic hyenas that replicated Jinx's signature cackle and exploded into glitter.
She wasn't even tied up this time like -well- when she first met Ekko, or with the robo-hyenas, or when she first met Zeri. Jinx at least mixed it up with that last one, as there was a shark involved that time, but Ekko had spoiled the surprise by revealing their relationship to the electric mage beforehand.
Or: Lux contemplates Jinx using her as bait in many of her plans...as she's acting as bait in the latest of Jinx's plans.

“What can I give you to get you to not block with your face?” Caitlyn coaxed, exasperated beyond belief. “This match was supposed to make up for all the other times you’ve taken injury from my hand—”
“You mean, that blue and yellow fuck of a ball?”
“My hand all the same.” Caitlyn corrected, with her beautifully moisturized lips pulling down into a frown that Vi wishes she could take all away. “You’re hurt, because of me, and I’m not so sure how I can fix it if the ball just… chases you like it has a mind of its own.”
It sure feels that way— it’s making Vi believe that the ball has a personal vendetta.
But Vi doesn’t express that. Instead, she huffs— only knowing one decent answer. “Maybe we can get to know each other, perhaps?”

Or: Vi is just passing through the gym, but then she gets hit hard enough by a volleyball to make her pass out, and she wakes up to a beautiful stranger on top of her; fanning her like an angel.
