    Summary

“It is in my wearier moments—nights such as these—that I feel your absence most keenly. You have left an indelible mark upon me, Wright, one that time and distance have not erased. Forgive my candor if it unsettles you. That is not my intent. I simply wished, for once, to be truthful.”

His breath caught as he read the words aloud in his mind. This was no longer an abstract confession. It was real. It had shape, form, and weight. The words had been etched into the paper, and by doing so, had taken root in the open. This was not the letter of a colleague, nor even a friend. This was something else entirely.

Miles Edgeworth’s journey was more than a return—it was a reckoning. He hadn’t simply escaped; he had set out on a path that demanded reflection. In seeking answers only time and distance could provide, he was forced to confront the echoes of his past, the burden of his present, and the uncertainty that lay ahead.

In that crucible of self-confrontation, Miles Edgeworth underwent ego death.

    Summary

This house is her father’s last act of revenge, it seems, for his last will and testament lays somewhere within these walls, collecting dust on a bookshelf or perhaps locked away within a drawer. It seems fitting that his final cruelty will be a walk down memory lane, every reminder of her childhood unearthed like a corpse from a tomb.

(On the eve of her father’s execution, Franziska von Karma revisits her childhood home.)

    Summary

Miles Edgeworth is too busy thinking about guilt and the implications thereof to properly celebrate his acquittal.

Maya Fey interrupts this and forces him to reexamine several of his preconceived notions.

    Summary

But then boyhood passed - or was taken over a cold, dead body - and Miles’ features changed accordingly.

Wright had the audacity to fail to follow even that simple rule of life.

(alternatively, the author saw a particularly well-drawn piece of fanart and couldn't stop herself)

    Summary

    “Pancakes?” Edgeworth asks groggily.

“Maya’s favorite,” Phoenix clarifies. Yours, too, he doesn’t add.

“Mm,” Edgeworth agrees, staring at Phoenix with a look he doesn’t quite recognize. Phoenix isn't sure if it’s a symptom of just waking up, but Edgeworth's features have none of the usual tenseness to them. He's all soft edges and relaxed shoulders as he indulges in a plate of strawberry pancakes and a cup of joe.

They eat in comfortable silence. Maya has politely refrained from asking why Edgeworth is joining them for breakfast, and every time Pearls starts to, Maya manages to change the subject.

Five times Miles Edgeworth falls asleep beside Phoenix Wright and the one time he doesn’t.

    Summary

Panic flutters in his chest. His heartbeat is the only thing he can hear in his ears besides the shrieking. Four hands for four limbs, there's not much else they can do.
    And then he remembers.
    There’s five hands.

    Summary

Content Warnings: fairly heavy mental health stuff, allusions to past suicide attempt (Yes this is porn but it's trilogy Edgeworth. Sorry lol)

    ・♡・

It smells like him, as he hoped it would—cheap deodorant, generically soapy and pine-scented. If Miles walked into any given drugstore and gave some dedication to comparing different scents, he could probably narrow down the exact brand he uses. Miles lets that possibility linger in his mind as he presses the tie to his nose, inhaling almost desperately, seeking any traces of skin and sweat that might still linger. When he catches a whisper of Phoenix, he hums in satisfaction, letting his eyes sink closed.
A jolt between his legs reminds him of the rather pressing reason why he kicked Phoenix out.

Miles Edgeworth is wine drunk, unbearably pent up, and brought his vibrator back from overseas—and Phoenix just left his tie behind in his apartment. He's not especially proud of what he's about to do.

    Summary

You’re being a child, he thinks mutinously, disparagingly. There are worse things than this in the world.

All this to say, he isn’t in the best of moods when he walks through the door. Maybe things would have started differently if he had been. Maybe they would have been easier, or softer, or something completely unrecognisable built with warm contrast and everlasting days. Maybe.

    Here, we have the blood.

(In which choices are made, secrets are kept, and Miles is old enough to know what he wants but too young to realise Phoenix wants it more.)
