Not only had he seen his niece smoking before, but she was twenty-four with the ability to conjure up any plant she desired. She could certainly do some ‘in-home’ chemistry.
It was not until Bruno had to pass by Isabela’s door to reach the stairs that he noticed that the smell wasn’t all that strong. Perhaps she’d stopped…? But when he made his way past Luisa’s door, then finally to Camilo’s, it got stronger. And good lord, it was strong. Meaning it was fresh.
