This is a story based on a Garten Of BanBan au called "Fallen Gods". This story and universe entails depictions of death, torture, horror and cult like themes. Each chapter will have warnings so make sure to read those before continuing.
That being said this story is about you, the player/ [YN] returning to a place they managed to escape many years prior. They vowed to never return but after receiving a letter stating that their younger sibling had been taken hostage and was being held in the facility, they felt like they had no other choice.
On this adventure you will meet many "people", some familiar, others not. Some of these individuals may even recognise you. [YN] seems eerily familiar to the forgotten cult's main mascot, Banban as he calls himself. BanBan hasn't seen a human in a long time, he eagerly accepts the role of becoming your personal guide.
Throughout your venture you'll find yourself taking on side quests. You may not fully know the pains the mascots have endured but you find yourself wanting to help them, to give them all a ray of light in the darkness that surrounds them.
Now prepare yourself for a journey as the mascots created by the fallen Gods welcome you home.

Summary
This is a novelization of the Garten of Banban series by The Euphoric Brothers. I have done my best to rewrite the story into a lore-accurate, canon compliant, and comprehensible story. Any and all confirmed lore is used, and I have avoided taking any personal liberties unless absolutely necessary. Understandably, I have had to shuffle events around and remove some details, however, this is due to how different the medium of written word is to video games and has nothing to do with the quality of the games themselves. I have created a plain, vanilla backstory for the protagonist to ease the reader into the main plot, which involves inventing a child for them to lose in the first place.
This story will aim to lean away from the horror aspects of the GoBB series that it originally went for, and more toward the sci-fi genre, which seems to be its strong suit lore-wise. This story is not satire and aims to be an honest retelling of the game's events from the player's eyes.
Any new lore revealed that may impact previous writings will be edited. Writing these chapters takes a lot of time and energy so please keep in mind that updates will be very spaced out.

As it turns out, Bittergiggle is as thick as a brick wall, and can't seem to take a hint that Toadstar wants to be more than 'just friends' with the RainWing. A little disheartened that his first confession didn't land, Toadstar is too stubborn to give up easily and tries to win Bittergiggle's heart along with some help from his friends.
With some planning, he was sure he and Bittergiggle would be together before the end of the year!

And while everyone is content to stay on the island, there are still many ups and downs they have to deal with, memories that just love to pop up unannounced with trauma that simply won't go away. Worries of the near future linger in the back of the minds as new changes come, and simple living isn't as easy as one might think.
