Summary
Sauron has transformed into Annatar to bewitch and control Celebrimbor so he makes the rings that would decide him as the true ruler of Middle earth, but in also trying to woo Galadriel, he finds she does not want him as Annatar, only wanting to have Halbrand as her lover.
Annatar needs to have her see his new form as a better male, letting her see his light.

When he was dropped to the deck, Mairon forced every inch of his body into begging for mercy. He kept his head down, unable to shake the fury even as he approximated gasping, pitiful sobs. Strands of his hair slicked to his face, sending saltwater running down his cheeks; the rest of it was simply additional foreign weight squishing against his sodden casing of wool and silk.
As far as taking a punishment went, it was a poor showing. But this was something far worse than punishment: entertainment.
On the journey to Numenor, Ar-Pharazôn tests the limits of what his hostage can withstand.

Summary
Adar finds an unlikely ally in Eragion after his children turn on him in a bout of unexpected battle madness. Surely this time, the elf he’s brought home really will help him defeat Sauron instead of using his mercy as an opportunity to kill dozens of orcs AGAIN. Surely this time he can truly defeat Sauron and keep the Uruk safe, right?
Celebrimbor manages to survive being tortured by Sauron. Now he just has to survive teaming up with the army that invaded his city, the heartbreak of his lover and his smiths turning on him, and the psychic damage that comes from being the son of an infamous kingdom-killer working with someone called Lord Father.
(Or: Sauron’s exes unionize, rebound together, and try and get custody of the kids. Canon divergence after ROP s2e6. Let's get out of Ost-in-Edhil with a lower body count!)

Celebrimbor shook his head slowly, his shoulders sagging under the weight of unspoken words. “Maybe,” he whispered, “just maybe, if there is a life beyond this, your soul will sing for me as mine once sang for you in this one.” He turned away, his steps heavy with grief, unable to bear looking at Annatar any longer.

Instead of the orcs discovering Annatar after he murders Celebrimbor, it is the Lady of Light.

Sauron is not as gone as many would think. Not even the Valar themselves notice as his form slips back into Aman, Valinor and then a new Formenos for a reconciled family.
Celebrimbor wonders why he feels so uneasy but relieved.
