He can hear the mischievousness in the other’s voice. Godzilla has always joked about tossing him and seeing how far Mark could make it to Castle Bravo until landing in the ocean. It was their little way of bonding, but Mark knew that Godzilla wouldn’t do something like that unless Mark said so.
“I just need you to keep an eye on Maddie until I’m back.”
“How long are you going to be gone?”

(Maddie ends up sick on Halloween and Mark is called in to work. So, Mark calls someone he knows will keep an eye on her while he's gone.) -

Godzilla has been missing since three in the morning. It’s one in the afternoon. Mark isn’t sure what the little troublemaker is doing, but this isn’t normal. He’s been checking on the many spots that Godzilla had made as his mini nests, both vents and non-vents.
He had opened a vent that was a room away from one of Godzilla’s nests. Stuffing his jacket inside, he plans on checking the vent an hour or so later to see if the titan has found the item.
With his nose, it shouldn't take the titan too long.
