Summary
Dr. Twilight Sparkle, PhD, has been assigned to study the moon and stars in Ponyville, the place where the Queen banished her own sister to the moon. The Queen fears her sister's escape during the upcoming Summer Sun Festival. Dr. Sparkle doesn't quite care what the Queen thinks. In fact, she thinks the Queen is delusional. But whatever gives Dr. Sparkle more recognition in the Queen's eyes.
Sheriff Apple Jack and Deputy Rainbow Dash don't quite trust the new Ponyville guest, but they both have their own problems. AJ has to make sure these hooligans who are buying and selling drugs in the night are put to justice. Rainbow has to ensure that the young kid she cares so much about doesn't end up in too much trouble.
Rarity von Gemhouser is hoping that the guest from Canterlot means that she can finally expand her small town business into a fashion empire. Anything to be famous.
Pinkie Pie doesn't mind the guest. She doesn't plan on staying in Ponyville past the upcoming festival anyways. She's just happy baking and partying until she can get back into traveling around Equestria.
And Fluttershy... well, she has a secret she's desperate to keep.

Summary

Flurry Heart's beautiful singing catches the attention of Sweetie Belle one morning. She invites Flurry to join her singing class where she finds Allegra whom she met at Nightshade's class not too long ago. Eager to make more friends, Flurry starts spending more time with Allegra who has taken a liking to her. As Flurry hangs out more with Allegra, her friends grow suspicious due to rumors of Allegra's stuck-up personality. Everyone starts to wonder if Allegra is using Flurry as a tool to get her fifteen minutes of fame and that she may poison Flurry against them. Are they just overreacting or is Allegra really up to something?

The new tree replacing Golden Oaks Library is now renovated! While Spike and Buttercream go out to celebrate their birthday with their siblings, Flurry and her friends all prepare to do a sleepover in the new "Harmony Clubhouse" tree, but things go awry when they start to argue over how to spend the night. Unbeknownst to the children, there is a powerful ghost lurking in the shadows of the tree: an ancient evil that has crept forth after being dormant for over a millennium. It may seem like some random ghost, but its presence is a sign of dark things to come.

Flurry and her friends worry over what Cozy has planned, but a quick visit from Starswirl the Bearded changes everything when he shows Flurry an artifact that may be able to counteract the amulet. Can Flurry stop Cozy from going mad and taking over all of Equestria? And just who are these mysterious parents of Cozy's? Surely they can't really be alicorns. Are they even her real parents for that matter? After all, no loving mother or father would rear their daughter to do such a thing!

It is many years after the end of the original Mane 6's adventures in friendship, but the story is not over. However, right after she gets there, Twilight has some urgent business, and the original Mane 6 (Plus Starlight Glimmer and Spike) must leave immediately, leaving Flurry back in Ponyville. She ends up staying with her "cousins", Twin siblings Pound and Pumpkin Cake, and soon meet three more Ponies: A quiet white unicorn named Whitacre, a country singer named Rough Rider, and a strange land pony named Goldenglow. They all become quick friends and start to bond, however something lurks in the shadows, waiting for the right time...
