They both struggle to not interface with each other. They learn more of each other's past and how to move forward. While also learning more about their forms now that they have a cog. Will things go back or can they go forward. -

On Cybertron, the hard-working miners keep the Energon flowing. On Team Fifteen, D-16 and Orion are...well-known for various reasons. Orion is touch but easily distracted especially when his anger takes over, and D-16 is kind, sweet, in ways that others aren't. He's also a rule-follower, and the only one who can get Orion to listen.
The two are literally made for each other! That what they say, anyway.
So after one of Orion's fun little 'dates' blows up in their faces, and they meet a mech who had been shunted to a level they didn't know existed, they are forced on an adventure of the lifetime.
Eugh. How annoying.
(An AU of TF One that features Shattered Glass elements and the author's very thinly veiled kinks!)

One post had written a little blurb on what they thought B-127 had been up to before Orion and D-16 had shown up. They had a mega-thread with commenters adding their own theories, and how lonely B-127 had to have been. How he used humor to cope with his sadness, how he had slept on the conveyor belt. How he’d built friends to have even a vaguely bot shaped face around. It… was an all too familiar feeling. You related to him, in a way. While of course you hadn't been thrown into sub level 50 and forced into solitude for who knows how long, you understood that painful and aching loneliness.
You wished there was someone to offer the clearly hurting Bee a hug. Someone who would listen to him. You know you’d give him comfort if you’d been in Elita-1 or Orion’s shoes.

Orion Pax knew that agreeing to a game night with D-16 was, in simplest terms, a dangerous indulgence.
It wasn’t the game itself, some outdated tactical simulator they had managed to dig out of the trash of the city above the mine barracks with a flickering interface and barely any function, that was the issue. No, rather it was the company. It was in the way that D-16 leaned in closer when it was his turn to move the holo pieces across the board, the way Orion could hear his vents slow when he watched him deliberate his next move. It was the way the dim lighting of the barracks cast strange, shifting reflections across D-16’s plating, and how the silence between them was filled with tension that couldn’t just be blamed on the game.
Perhaps he was imagining things. It wouldn’t be the first time his expansive imagination had gotten the better of him, leading him to misread a situation. But… well. Either way, his best friend had a way of making even this simple game feel like a battlefield.

After a freak accident during one of the raids, several soldiers—Ravage included—were injured. Soundwave, decided they needed to gather medical supplies from Iacon. Meanwhile, Starscream,is having the worst day of the cycle trying to ensure they don’t get caught by Sentinel’s guards.
With all the careful planning, the seemingly "competent" team, & a quick escape route in place, what could possibly go wrong?
