Summary
Getting involved in the yearly tournament was strictly forbidden for members of the royal family. High class families from around the continent traveled for weeks just for the chance to participate and prove their worth and loyalty to the King. This year, was different. Instead of winning favor with the King, the winner of this year's tournament will win the hand of the Princess. Nobody has seen the Princess in years due to high tensions with outside territories; being the rebellious youngest child who refuses to be married off to a random man, Lena enters the tournament under a pseudonym. But, a problem arises when no blacksmith will make her a set of armor. As the date of the tournament arises, she walks into the last forge in the kingdom where she meets a stunning young woman blacksmith with a heart of gold and an unknown secret. I wanted to do a season 5 rewrite, but also really dive into Lena's alcohol use and mental health after all of the trauma she has had. It picks up right after she kills Lex, but what if she blamed herself for Kara lying and not Kara? And then it sent her into a mental health crisis that forces her to deal with all of her "little boxes". It will have a happy ending but it will be a ride to get there.

“Krypto,” Lena says groggily. “Krypto, go.” She gulps, but her mouth is dry. Lena tries to strengthen her voice into more of a command, but she isn’t very successful. “Run!”
Krypto is barking incessantly. He’s a good ten feet ahead but doesn’t dare run back to his owner.
Lena can feel the looming presence above her. She doesn’t have to look to know. “Krypto!” she loudly states with more authority than she feels. “Release! Find her! Run!”
A shoe comes into her periphery. That annoying whistle fills her ears. That whistle that Lena spent hundreds of hours deconditioning Krypto from obeying. She keeps her eyes on her beloved pet. She smiles when Krypto looks at her with such emotion, almost like regret. The barks turn into whines as he backs away from the scene. Finally, finally, Krypto runs.
