2D has been irritable lately, probably due to the lack of painkillers, as he was trying to go light on them. Nothing beats a clearer, unclouded head, right?
As Murdoc slowly but surely lost control of his deteriorating relationship with 2D, leading to one argument after another, everything seemed to slip away. Since then, a strange recurring nightmare kept eating away at him. Every time, just one scene, it was 2D, and... He was choking Murdoc until the bassist stopped breathing.

Disclaimer: I don't actually ship this, I just think this fandom has a lack of RussDoc. I mean, RussNu, 2Nu and NuDoc are even more common, and much more disgusting in my opinion. They're like Noodle's fathers, people! What are you thinking!? Let me rephrase that, why aren't you thinking!? Well, enough of my usual rambling now. General storyline: Russel wasn't the type to bring home a bird often, Murdoc was quite the opposite. Murdoc would fuck almost anyone who was willing, but he did have a certain amount of standards. For one thing, they had to have a hole, and at least to be a little attractive. One day he finds himself alone in the bathroom with 2D's absolute gremlin of a girlfriend, Paula Cracker. One thing led to another and Paula is giving him a blowie in stall 3. It wasn't like 2D hadn't cheated on her before, so she didn't feel so guilty about it. When Murdoc was nearly finished they got interrupted by none other than Russel. After that Russel almost punched the guilty man unconcious, and Paula managed to escape, never to be seen again. Well, things kind of escalated from there, with both Russel and Murdoc trying to make it up to eachother and accidentally catching feelings.

I didn't mean for this to happen, but this fic kinda just morphed into a big ole reference to "Boys Don't Cry" by the Cure. I love that song. Highly suggest.

"Murdoc froze, paralyzed in the zombie's gripping gaze. Could it even be called a gaze if he had black circles for eyes ? In the darkness, it was impossible to tell if there *were* eyes or not. Murdoc's heart pounded, legs twitching, ready to run as fast as possible if warranted. the zombie held that soulless stare for an uncomfortably long time, Murdoc feeling scrutinized under those pits of darkness. Then, the zombie moved, but only to turn around a little bit more, squinting at him. The next noise that left the zombie wasn't a hum, nor the grunts or groans Murdoc was used to hearing.
"Could you come 'ere, please ? I can't see ya in the dark.""
(aka. Murdoc finds himself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and uses his coincidentally green skin to blend in, because of course the zombies wouldn't notice. They're zombies, after all. Unthinking and hungry.
