Summary
There's a strange pull or a perilous pressure that's been collectively felt by the Hero of Mobius. Dr. Eggman has been silent for three years straight, there's been a recent terrorist attack by a group called the Jackal Squad, and there's been mysterious appearances of an unknown stranger lurking around Mobius. These three things will spark a cataclysmic event that multiple realities would never see coming. In due time, Sonic and Shadow will realize that they're far more special than they ever imagined. After waking up on Kronos Island, Sonic strikes up friendly conversation with a disembodied voice on the island, who he gives the name Echo. He wastes no time exploring the island, dedicated to finding out which of his friend's mappers is on the island and why everything about Kronos Island is downloading into his body so easily. Little does he know that finding his friends will only add to the questions he needs answers for.
Meanwhile, Eggman is in a foul mood after being trapped in Cyberspace. Despite the setbacks to his plan, he has enough of his infrastructure set up within Kronos Island's mainframe that he can manipulate parts of it to his ends. He figures out how he can make the most of his set-up to still execute his master plan, instructing his mysterious assistant to keep a close watch on Sonic as he comes up with his most diabolical scheme yet.
