For as long as he could remember, Aether has been a phantom wandering the universe along side his ambitious sister until they’re attacked by a mysterious woman with incredible power.
He expected that this would be where his story would end, with him dying under some tree or being found and dissected like some animal by scholars. He had no idea what Teyvat would have in store for him next, showing him a life he’d never imagined possible for him. Or the hardships such a life would bring.
P.S: This started as a bunch of Aeventi food for Aeventi enjoyers, which it still is!!!
But at this point I thinks I should also mention that this is a rewrite of the prologue. So yeah, warning for content that wasn’t in the original story. I probably should’ve added that a while ago.

After being separated from his twin, Lumine, Aether is forced to travel the various nations of Teyvat in the hope of finding her again, all while battling the grief and confusion her disappearance left. However, as he does, he realizes there may be a lot more to this world than he thought - including his first opportunities for friendship and, eventually, love.
In other words, an incorporation of Aether/Venti into the canon story with a reeeeeeeeally slow burn friends to severe denial to lovers kind of plot. As in they don’t kiss until after Natlan kind of plot. It centers around Aether and his character throughout the events of canon, so it’s primarily a retelling/rewrite of the Archon Quests and other parts of the game I felt were relevant enough. The development of their relationship is more underlying and takes place during moments such as Windblume or non-canon interactions interspersed between all the canon lore parts, but it is still a main point of the work. TLDR, read if you like Genshin’s lore, skip if you don’t. That’s all :)
