Summary
So this is a parallel to a story that I haven't even finished yet from after that dance, except this is quiet a while in the future, a little while before Alarak fakes his death. Artanis is really trying to make his two Tal'darim friends smooch and it works but Riri is feeling a lot of Repressed Guilt over it so it also doesn't work.
I guess there's some implied spice? This is about as much on this type of topic as I'll probably end up writing, there's nothing more than the Protoss equivalent of a tiny bit of making out.
Also another conversation in which Alarak tried to confess to Artanis is alluded to. I'll write that one day and it'll make me explode.

This is part of an AU in which Alarak has to go back to Artanis for help after Covert Ops in order to fix a revolution within the Tal'darim partially spurred on by the loss of the emotional influence that Amon had over them until his death. I only write short, self-contained stories within this AU despite having way too much in my head about it, and they will not be posted in order. The timeline of this AU spans from a little after the end of Covert Ops to around 175-200 years afterwards.

Louise and her chosen Gandalfr/Akhundelar, Siesta, are drawn into Tristain's dark underbelly as they work with Henrietta to root out traitors. Where that pulled thread leads, however, turns out to be yet more Koprulu incursions and confrontations that they may not yet be prepared to face.
All this while the Protoss, liberated from the void, deliberate on the appropriate response to the growing threats from their universe that have made themselves known.
