"I'm envious of Oikawa.” Takahiro mumbled, finally looking up from the jersey.

    Issei blinked. “Huh. Why?”

“I don’t get to have my name written at the back of my jersey.”

Issei chuckled. “I mean, we both decided to give up volleyball entirely. There was no way we’d get a jersey with our name on the back unless we played pro.” He said, patting Takahiro’s back to comfort him.

“If he gets to see his name on Iwaizumi’s back while he fucks him, I surely deserve the same. He’s not that special, you know.”

“We can always get customized— what?”

or: Issei gets Takahiro a gift on his birthday. And he gets something in return.

"You don't have to do this, you know. You could go back and enjoy the party," Yahaba finally said softly, letting out a quiet sigh. "I saw you were getting along with Iwaizumi-san, it feels shitty to be the reason that's stopped," he added with a frown. There was another beat of silence before Kyōtani huffed out a laugh and shook his head.

"Shut up, idiot," he jabbed, rolling his eyes.

"Dumb asshole," Yahaba countered, a playful frown threatening to give way into a smile.

        "Bitch."

        "Big, stupid dog."

"You know you're taller than me, right? You're awful at this," the ace laughed, nudging his teammate with his elbow.

"Shut up, I'm trying to participate in conflict!" Shigeru whined, as though the concept was new to him. Kyōtani just rolled his eyes at that.

"You're gonna be such a shit captain," he teased, but Yahaba fell silent. The taller boy stopped walking, a hurt and scared look falling over his face. Kyōtani turned back to ask what was wrong, but one look at his captain sent visible regret over his features.

“You guys have an arm-wrestling booth? That’s fucking unfair. Oikawa’s making us sell his lame, Disney-themed cupcakes-“
