Nick, the embodiment of gold and goodness himself, pulled the younger one closer to him, pressing his chest into Charlie’s back as his arms engulfed his boyfriend’s (boyfriend’s!) shoulders and his nose buried itself into the crook of his neck as they gently rocked left and right. The blond pressed a quick peck to his pulse point but recoiled with exaggerated disgust.
“You taste like rain,” he says, returning to the crook of Charlie’s neck.
Charlie chuckles softly, placing a gentle hand on one of Nick’s forearms and turning his face to rest his cheek against Nick’s head of hair. Charlie, only a little louder than the white noise of rain, whispers “What if I did something stupid?”

Alberto waves the letter in her face. “It’s not!” He yelps. “You’re trying to set me up to ridicule myself on live television! Mio Dio, Giulia!”
The smile vanishes from her face then, and she frowns up at him. “I just filled in the application, Beto. You weren’t going to actually get chosen!”
“Oh, really?” He squeaks, and throws the letter into her lap. “Read it!”
She stares at him for a few moments while he struggles to gasp enough air into his lungs before she reaches for the letter and opens it.
“Alberto Marcovaldo,” She reads aloud, her voice shaking a little now, “We are delighted to inform you that your application to join this year’s edition of Dancing on Ice has been accepted.”
She trails off into silence, her mouth dropping open as her eyes flick feverishly back and forth as she reads the rest of the letter. Alberto watches her, noting the way her entire face pales until every single one of her freckles pops, and when she finally meets his gaze again she says the one thing he’s been thinking on a loop since he read it for himself.
“Oh, merda.”

Summary
Newly moved to Genova with his strict parents, Luca Paguro has a hard time being comfortable in the huge, overwhelming city and being a Sea Monster certainly doesn't make it easier. Luckily, his friend Giulia Marcovaldo doesn't have a problem with it.
When Luca gets hit by a motorcycle one afternoon he doesn't expect the mysterious and boisterous driver to turn out to be a Sea Monster as well. Bonding over their experiences as (literal) fish out of water, the two decide to meet weekly and go on not-dates around the city.
But past wounds seem to have stained the relationship between Giulia and the biker Alberto, making it all the more difficult for Luca to carelessly trust his new friend. Luca comes to realize that the more he learns about Alberto, the less he feels like he actually knows him - and the more dangerous it seems to develop certain feelings for the biker.
Or: Alberto is in a Biker Gang and hits Luca with his motorcycle. Shenanigans ensue.
