Summary
Wedding bells are in the air with the date of her wedding approaching, and Jiang Yanli is helping to make preparations around Lotus Pier for her coming departure. Her primary concern is Jiang Cheng, who works himself to the bone and rarely allows himself a moment to breathe, let alone have a decent meal. She worries for him, about who will get him to eat when she's living in Lanling and who will remind him that there's a life outside of work.
On a whim, she decides to invite Nie Huaisang to visit for the last few weeks before the wedding. Hopefully his presence will help her brother relax, or at the very least, Nie Huaisang can distract Jiang Cheng so that she can get some work done!
But when the young man arrives and her brother actually *smiles*, she thinks she sees something else between them. Could it be that her brother is genuinely attracted to Nie Huaisang, who is so obviously infatuated with him, or is she so in love that she sees romance everywhere? To find out, she'll give them a few little nudges to see what happens.

“Jiang Cheng,” the man - Jiang Cheng - says, and he clumsily scans his card, the machine chirping in approval like a bird. Nie Huaisang snorts, and then smiles shyly as Jiang Cheng pulls away.
“Jiang Cheng,” he repeats, with a nod. “Alright! Let me print you a receipt.” He does not, in fact, actually have to print receipts. Most customers don’t even use them, and it’s a thorough waste of paper if they’re just gonna go into the trash. But… well, Nie Huaisang has spent too many nights in the tiny studio apartment he’s been so graciously allowed to use crying and drowning in his own thoughts, and Jiang Cheng is both beautiful and rich. What can he say?
After the receipt prints, Nie Huaisang pauses, and then digs a pen free, scribbling his number and name with a heart. There. He effectively made a move on the very hot, very rich customer. It probably breaks at least one rule, if not more, but in the moment he doesn’t care.

You asked me to go on stage, and I did. You asked me to join you on tour, and I did. You asked me every step of the way. I said yes every time.”
Then: Jiang Cheng was trying to find himself after his band took an unexpected break. Nie Huaisang was trying to prove he could be independent doing his art. They were roommates.
Now: An incident with someone who claims to be their fan leaves them shaken and second-guessing their choices.Series

He wasn't anyone, not really; not anymore. He hadn't really been anyone in years now. There'd been a time. Once. But there were entire lifetimes between who he could have been and what he'd become. He could taste it sometimes; blackberries and sand stinging his tongue like the iron branded on his shoulder.
It was easier to pretend he'd never been anyone at all.
