Time itself loops back around, back to a time before the cycle was ever a thing.
Fortunately for a few iterators - it brings them along with itself, to a time ages ago.Now Five Pebbles has to deal with being in a world full of bugs, sometimes seeing things he remembered from his old archives - dated to hundreds of thousands of years in the past -placed out and about and used as if they were brand new. He also keeps finding pearls written by NSH, but said iterator? Is nowhere to be found.
Hopefully he can figure out this strange place, and perhaps help heal this fallen kingdom.
After all, it just so happens that the power he used to enlighten beings in the past is enough to cure the strange "infection" that the creatures of this place seem to suffer from.
Well. It's just another task, is it not?(First chapter is the prologue, next ones will be Pebbles Centric and different. I simply wanted to set some lore down I otherwise couldn't.)

Summary
Frog breeding goes a bit differently and a still-god-tiered Maid of Time gets the chance to help pull her (mostly) friends from the hungry grasp of their original narrative by investing their remaining relevance elsewhere. She takes it, earning them all a narrow escape from what usually happens with doomed timelines.
As a result, a different narrative yarn gets several changes to the recent cast and begins to unspool into an alternative course of events.
Rosalind "Clay" loses her locket, gets taken into custody by the government, and discovers (among other things) that she has a greater capacity for Mad Science than most of her previous evidence suggested. Let's see what she knits together from all this, hm?

Summary
Gummigoo had wanted the chance to be somebody real. The monkey’s paw – or rather, the ringmaster’s hand – makes that wish a reality in the worst possible way.
In an effortless snap, Caine deletes Pomni from existence instead of Gummigoo. With his first (and perhaps only) real friend now reduced to colorful paper scraps, Gummigoo is alone in a new, unfamiliar space, with new, unfamiliar people, grieving both Pomni’s loss and the added guilt of leaving his NPC mates behind to an equally unknown, but probably horrible fate.
There’s no time to mourn – adventure beckons for all of Caine’s superstars, no matter how they protest or how deep in the throes of existentialist dread they are in. It’s not like Gummigoo can refuse – his cover is wafer-thin (as well as emotionally painful) and if the ringmaster finds out what he actually is…. Gummigoo would rather not experience that.
As he adventures and interacts with the humans at the Circus, perhaps he’ll be able to fulfill that dream, live and enjoy this artificial but real enough for Pomni’s sake. And for himself.
