    “Grian, hold him still, I’ll break his bloody nose for you—” Joel offered, bouncing faintly on the balls of his feet with astonishing balance and coordination considering he had far outdrank Jimmy tonight.

    “Don’t—” Grian gasped out, finally managing to flip himself on top of his assailant, hair mussed and glasses knocked off. They’d gone skittering (thankfully not into the street) and Jimmy stooped to pick them up and tuck them in his pocket for lack of anything better to do. The avian (and it was another avian Jimmy saw now— one that had dark wings with flashes of bright white, that Jimmy couldn't make out very well when the person was trying to bite Grian) was swearing profusely, blonde head held to the sidewalk, and feet trying to twist and kick Grian. Presumably in the crotch, although it looked like he’d hit whatever he could reach. “It’s a kid Joel, for fucks sake,”

    “I’ll hit a kid,” Joel said uncertainly, eyes squinting. “...How old?”

    “I’m thirty fuckface!” The kid managed to get his face clear of the ground, finally bit Grian, and the two went rolling apart.

    "My, you have been busy," Scott said, and Legundo did not look at Scott's eyes— shut them in fact, when Scott grabbed his chin and forced his face forward. He could smell that cold breath now, like a funeral parlor, and pulled away with a grimace, hand moving to his belt—

    Scott snatched that up as well, and with a twist and a surge of inhuman strength, pressed Legundo flat to the table. His breath left him in a rush, and Scott laughed.

    Scott was shorter than Legundo, and much lighter as well. The only thing keeping him planted on the ground was his own body weight, and Legundo had the advantage of leverage.

    He still had a hand free. Legundo grabbed on to the collar of Scott's elegant coat, and put a knee into the vampire's stomach. He had the satisfaction of seeing surprise in Scott's eyes— before he was handily thrown clean off of Legundo, and over the far side of the table.

    He would not get the element of surprise again.

    (Or; Legundo gets bit by EVERY Vampire at some point or another, for varying reasons.)

    After Scott's mother passed away, he's hardly seen any other elves, let alone gotten to know them. While he cherishes the stories his parents told him about that half of his biology and culture, it is also notably lacking in breadth. This becomes overwhelmingly obvious as he begins to spend time with another elf. His ignorance is frankly impossible to ignore, and more than a little embarrassing. Especially when it's Graecie of all elves: proud and very open about her elf heritage.

    Luckily, Graecie is also happy to take the young half-elf under her wing and teach him a thing or two about being an elf! Whether that be the different cultures, biological oddities of their species, or just proper etiquette, she'll make a real elf of the boy!

    Scott may be a little in over his pointy-eared head.
